Identify the subject: Rabbits in the real world, in fictional media, in literature, and in biology. Plus hares and jackrabbits and the sort.

Show the subject is big enough: Category:Fictional hares and rabbits Category:Rabbit breeds Category:Mythological rabbits and hares Category:Pet rabbits Category:Rabbits and hares Category:Sylvilagus Category:Lepus

Show that you are aware of related projects: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mammals

List of important pages and categories for this proposed group

Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?

The coverage of rabbits in greatly insufficient. Plus, dogs and cats have their own projects, other general animal classifications also need their own as well.

  • Though the nominator has now been blocked for ban evasion - something I hope unrelated to the idea of a Rabbit WikiProject - I would like to add my support for the idea. As a rabbit lover myself I'd certainly been a contributor, and as evidenced above there is scope for it. --S.G.(GH) ping! 17:52, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
