I've edited and created templates for several years and more recently Lua modules. I have 40+ years of programming experience and have edited Wikipedia for six years with a clean block log. Although I have only 116 edits to template space and 92 to module space, I have many more template edits in my userspace, eg. User:RexxS/MainPageFL where I was creating templates for Featured Lists to appear on Main Page. It would be useful to have this permission to allow me to do occasional maintenance on some protected templates, and to help with edit requests. RexxS (talk) 00:41, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Done I couldn't find any evidence of fulfilled edit requests, but with the templates in your userspace and your programming experience I'm satisfied that you won't abuse the right. — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 01:00, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
