Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Michael Mann (director), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Carol of the Bells. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 09:22, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, you might want to check out the article about the song you're suggesting is "Carol of the Bells": "Shchedryk". While "Carol of the Bells" uses the melody of "Shchedryk", they're actually quite different. Feel free to learn about the differences. That's why we're here.
Also, using the Cyrillic characters for "Shchedryk" is also incorrect as English Wikipedia uses the Latin alphabet. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Text formatting#Contraindications.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Élie Metchnikoff may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • | birth_place = Ivanovka, [[Kharkiv Oblast]], [[Ukraine]])

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 17:27, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Mark Arsten (talk) 00:26, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Josh3580. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Fyodor Pirotsky, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.  —Josh3580talk/hist 19:52, 17 January 2014 (UTC) [reply]

Élie Metchnikoff

Many other sources state he is Russian. You will need to list a published source with information on how to obtain that information. Please see wp:v Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 01:49, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to Élie Metchnikoff, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Fyodor Pirotsky has been reverted.
Your edit here to Fyodor Pirotsky was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_8ZAuvUjng) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Élie Metchnikoff shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.  —Josh3580talk/hist 18:22, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 18:28, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
