- Comment At first I thought Jlpe1983 was getting two different Donaldsons confused, but that's not the case. This document is clearly about the subject of the article, and this story is clearly about the same guy. Plenty of big-name sources discuss him under the name "Benjamin", as can easily be seen in a Google search. Even Christie's uses this name. There are 35 species of birds worldwide, 25 species of seabirds and 10 species of land birds. Very few species of worldwide birds live also in Antarctica. Amazingly one species of worldwide birds is the Barn Swallow, its the only songbird that native Worldwide 
Shearwaters and PetrelsOrder: Procellariiformes. Family:Procellariidae The procellariids are the main group of medium-sized 'true petrels', characterised by united nostrils with a medium septum, and a long outer functional primary. There are 75 species worldwide and 2 species which occur in Worldwide.
Storm-PetrelsOrder: Procellariiformes. Family:Hydrobatidae The storm-petrels are relatives of the petrels, and are the smallest of sea-birds. They feed on planktonic crustaceans and small fish picked from the surface, typically while hovering. The flight is fluttering and sometimes bat-like. There are 21 species worldwide and 2 species which occur in Worldwide.
TropicbirdsOrder: Pelecaniformes. Family:Phaethontidae Tropicbirds are slender white birds of tropical oceans, with exceptionally long central tail feathers. Their heads and long wings have black markings. There are 3 species worldwide and 2 species which occur in the Worldwide. 
Gannets and BoobiesOrder: Pelecaniformes. Family:Sulidae The sulids comprise the gannets and boobies. Both groups comprise medium-to-large coastal sea-birds that plunge-dive for fish. There are 9 species worldwide and 3 species which occur in Worldwide.
FrigatebirdsOrder: Pelecaniformes. Family:Fregatidae Frigatebirds are large sea-birds usually found over tropical oceans. They are large, black and white or completely black, with long wings and deeply forked tails. The males have inflatable coloured throat pouches. They do not swim or walk, and cannot take off from a flat surface. Having the largest wingspan to body weight ratio of any bird, they are essentially aerial, able to stay aloft for more than a week. There are 5 species worldwide and 2 species which occur in Worldwide.
Herons, egrets, and bitternsOrder: Ciconiiformes. Family:Ardeidae The family Ardeidae contains the bitterns, herons and egrets. Herons and egrets are medium to large sized wading birds with long necks and legs. Bitterns tend to be shorter necked and more wary. Unlike other long-necked birds suck as storks, ibises and spoonbills, members of Ardeidae fly with their necks retracted. There are 61 species worldwide and 4 species which occur in Worldwide. 
Ibises and SpoonbillsOrder: Ciconiiformes. Family:Threskiornithidae The Threskiornithidae is a family of large terrestrial and wading birds which includes the ibises and spoonbills. They have long, broad wings with 11 primary and about 20 secondary feathers. They are strong fliers and despite their size and weight, very capable soarers. There are 36 species worldwide and 1 species which occurs in Worldwide.
Hawks, kites and eaglesOrder: Falconiformes. Family:Pandionidae Accipitridae is a family of birds of prey and include hawks, eagles, kites, harriers and Old World vultures. These birds have powerful hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong legs, powerful talons, and keen eyesight. There are 233 species worldwide and 2 species which occur Worldwide.
FalconsOrder: Falconiformes. Family:Falconidae Falconidae is a family of diurnal birds of prey. They differ from hawks, eagles, and kites in that they kill with their beaks instead of their feet. There are 62 species worldwide and 1 species which occurs Worldwide.
Lapwings and PloversOrder: Charadriformes. Family:Charadriidae he family Charadriidae includes the plovers, dotterels, and lapwings. They are small to medium-sized birds with compact bodies, short, thick necks and long, usually pointed, wings. They are found in open country worldwide, mostly in habitats near water, although there are some exceptions. There are 66 species worldwide and 1 species which occur Worldwide.

Islamic Inheritance
Inheritance and estate in Islam
In absolute terms the rules and legislations of Islamic inheritance are derived from the two most authentic sources, namely the Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In this short prelude the core reference material will be to that of the Holy Quran. From the outset one must appreciate that inheritance and estate apportionments are the limits set by God Almighty (SWT), so one should not be in the position to question the wisdom of the creator. He mentions whosoever disobeys Him and the Messenger through transgression of these limits will ultimately suffer a humiliating punishment in the fiery chasm, in essence a bottomless pit to abide therein forever. If we further scrutinise the Quranic verses on the shares of inheritance and estate rights, we can determine the split gives dues to both direct descendants (spouses, children, parents and siblings) and indirect descendants (first male next of kin, relatives and charities) for purposes of sharing, social cohesiveness and justice all trademarks and emblems of Islam and what it stands for as well as what it is keen to propagate to the wider masses.
Inheritance apportionment
Islam is a complete way of life that will stand the test of time, and it is very robust in its laws, permissions and prohibitions that serve as the cornerstone and foundations of the religion. It need not sway to the trends and demands of the modern era and is not an adaptive religion that can be subject to change because it is the true religion of God. It has the answers to all aspects of life and social wellbeing from the outset and in actual fact it should be the benchmark of our conduct in every walk of life. There are many a critic itching at the chance to poke the faith at every opportunity, one such inkling is with regard to the male portion of inheritance stating it does not correspond to the ways of today and thwarts the notion of equality and that men and women are not considered to be on the same par. Retrospectively, if we were to delve back in history in particular the early generations of civilisation as we know, we can unequivocally conclude that women had no such rights to anything let alone inheritance and entitlement to the estate of the deceased. Islam as a shining beacon to a drifting world, voices itself on matters of equality and justice at a time no such thing was in existence by way of giving due rights in this instance. Knowingly or otherwise what they fail to grasp is that Islam promotes that men and women have due rights as far as even over each other, the Quran states that men and women are ‘garments’ unto each other, meaning that they are one and the same in purpose (equipped with equal capabilities intellectually, spiritually and morally), this verse clearly embodies the standing of the two genders in the sight of God on a equal footing to debunk the sceptics. Additionally, the Prophet of Islam proclaimed that “women are the twin halves of men. The rights of women are sacred” and “see that women are maintained in the rights granted to them”, supporting and uplifting the status of women and the rights they had then and even now. In Islam the male receives twice the portion of a female, for reasons not owing to gender superiority and female inferiority but rather men as ‘maintainers’ have specific rights over women, in which women have many a right over men. The Quranic verse states that God has given man more strength over women and for that reason are to act as their supporters, maintainers and protectors. Essentially men as the head of the household have the responsibility to provide and fend for their families and shoulder the burden in doing so.
Islamic inheritance
The Quran states that there is a share for men and women, little or much a share nonetheless. To fully understand the underlining allocations we must refer to the most astute source that is the Quran, namely verses. 11-12 of Chapter 4 (An-Nisa). Before we start it is essential that we consider some important ground rules , at large a meticulous sequence must be observed at all times when it comes to distribution rights; inheritance and estate distribution must always be followed after the payment of legacies and satisfaction of debt liability on the part of the deceased, once achieved remnants are initially distributed to 1) Direct descendants (spouse, children, parents and siblings) and 2) Indirect descendants (first male next of kin, relatives, charities) which account for excesses that remain of the estate. The apportioned allocations will never exceed 1 (upper limit) , if the sequence of descendant rights (as formerly stated) is methodically tailed and shadowed. In situations where the upper limit has been reached, it is here where the calculation will cease for the next line of entitlement. This ultimately depends on the scenario and family setting as we know is different for each and everyone of us and as always is binding on the extent of numbers in question; the more direct descendants one has the upper limit will be reached earlier at the expense of perhaps other direct and indirect descendants leaving them at bay and at a loss (this is the law, yet they are still accounted for entitlement if this is not the case). However, there will be cases where a residual surplus remains to distribute to entitled parties for a share and that is the beauty of this apportionment, it is far more wide ranging allowing for other parties to a share to enjoy and be further resourced for purposes of sustenance but also, because it supports the Islamic notion of maintaining ties between family, kin, relatives and being more charitable. Islam is keen to voice matters on this and eradicate actions of self preservation, absorption, indulgence and consumption and this example of inheritance divide is an illustration to dissolve these base careless actions. ‘To begin with God instructs us of your children’s inheritance, for the male a portion twice that of the female’
In any case all distributions are after the payment of legacies and debts, in absolute terms a male inherits twice that of a female. This takes first preference under the direct descendants phase after the distribution to spouses, (2/3) male and (1/3) female for these single heirs (in the case of leaving both a son and daughter). If the male is the only heir then he receives entire estate (1 or 100%), in the case of a female she receives (1/2) and the remaining residual balance (1/2) to the wider descendants, extended family and charities aforementioned.

This refers to single female heirs only. If the females are the only inheritors they receives (2/3) and the residual balance (1/3) to the wider indirect descendants, extended family and charities aforementioned. If only one then her portion is (1/2) with the excess distributed to entitled parties.

Parents will receive (1/6) each if there are children, but if there are no children the parents are the only inheritors of the deceased’s estate, the mother receives (1/3) and the father (2/3). If the deceased left brother and sisters they receive (1/6) each, if more than two they share 1/3, the mother receives (1/6) and the father twice the mother’s portion.
Ch. 4:12
‘For husband half for what wife leaves, if no child, but if child then a fourth. For wife a fourth what husband leaves, if no child, but if child then an eighth. If a man or women leaves no ascendants or descendants but has a brother or sister then for each of them is a sixth, but if they are more than two they share a third’'''
Husband receives (1/2) of his wife’s estate if there are no children, but (1/4) if there are children. For the wife she receives (1/4) of her husbands estate, if there are no children, but (1/8) if there are children. If the deceased has no other identifiable heirs (direct descendants or ascendants) but has brothers and sisters they receive (1/6) each but if more than two they will equally share (1/3) and the residual balance must be given to the indirect ascendants (relatives or charity). ‘These are the limits set by God, whoever obeys Him and his Messenger, He will admit them into paradise, under which rivers flow, abiding there forever, that is the great achievement’
Worked Examples
No spouses, male and female. Male (2/3 – 67%) and female (1/3 – 33%) twice that of a female

Female (only inheritor) Female (1/2 – 50%) remainder to parties entitled (direct/indirect descendants)
Two or more females (only inheritors) Females (2/3 – 67%) when only inheritors (no males), remainder to parties entitled (direct/indirect descendants)
Two males and two females (only inheritors) Males (2/3 -67%) and females (1/3 -33%) equally shared amongst them. 2/3 split for females two or more cannot be factored in firstly, as it only refers to having females only, and secondly if applied the males will not be receiving twice that of the females instead it would be roles reversed, hence going against the ruling.
One male and two females (only inheritors) Male (1/2 – 50%) and females (1/2 -50%) equally shared 25% each.
Wife, two females, two males and two parents (upon death of husband) Wife (1/8 -12.5%), two females (1/5.5- 18%) equally shared, two males (1/2.75 – 36%) equally shared (twice a female) and two parents (1/3- 33%), 1/6 – 16.5% each.
Husband, male and female (upon death of wife) Husband (1/4 -25%), Male (1/2-50%), female (1/4-25%), if they where more parties to a share i.e. sibling(s) they will not be entitled as the upper limit has been reached, unless you undercut the fractions of the former to accommodate the share(s) to sibling(s), but this will be at the expense of the children which is incorrect.
Husband, two males, two females and mother (upon death of wife) Husband (1/4 – 25%), two males (1/2 – 50%) equally shared, two females (1/4 – 25%) equally shared. This leaves no share for the mother (1/6) as upper limit has been achieved, if incorporated it would be at the expense of the children receiving a lesser share and on top of the above would be greater than 1 so a share for the mother is not feasible and cannot be factored in.
Wife, three males, two females and brother (upon death of husband) Following the notion that a male receives twice the female, allocations are as follows; wife (1/8 – 12.5%), three males (2/3.1 – 65%) equally shared, two females (1/4.5 – 22%) equally shared, excess to next entitled person. This calculation leaves no share for the brother, which if incorporated (1/6) will be at the expense of the children in particular the females (three males sharing (1/2) and two females sharing (1/6))
