I live in the area near the Detroit River, and I thought this created article would be interesting. In the WikiProject, I classified it as a list, even though the title is not List of islands in the Detroit River. Belle Isle and the Bankrupt City of Detroit

An agreement between the State of Michigan and City of Detroit was signed in early February, 2014. The state will operate as a state park by lease from the City of Detroit. Numerous repairs and upgrades will be made because they are needed due to neglect by the bankrupt city. Among repairs will be toilets, parking areas, trail repair/brush clearance, and securing dust bin covers to the main recepticles.
