User:Guillermogomez701

Dear Wikipedia, My name is Guillermo Gomez. I am President of the Stanford Solar Car Project here at Stanford University. I would really like to update our Wikipedia page with some new information about our latest (2013) solar car, Luminos, but I am unable to add photos to follow up on the new text I added. The latest edits on the Stanford Solar Car page are mine. I have no other text edits to make but I would like to upload photos of Luminos in adittion to the revised information. Please confirm my account so that I may add to the Wikipedia community. Sincerely, Guillermo Gomez Guillermogomez701 (talk) 04:23, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Please read the contents of the big box at the top of this page. You do not need a confirmed account to submit photos. Particularly for a university project, the photos should be available on Wikimedia Commons, and confirmation is not required to upload images there. Anything on Commons is automatically accessible by Wikipedia articles. ~Amatulić (talk) 05:10, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. You need just one more edit to be confirmed. Confirmation requires 4 days and 10 edits. You have 9 edits. ~Amatulić (talk) 05:08, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - Hi, and thank you for creating an account to edit Wikipedia. Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies. The good news is that fewer than 5% of Wikipedia articles are protected; this means that 95% of the articles can use your help right now! DP 09:03, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to create one page for the silver creek cross country team, it's nothing to bad and as a MVP of the team our coach told me to get our team connected, it could help people questioning us see what we do and get new runners please confirm Xclife123 (talk) 21:18, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done Although you don't need advanced permissions to create an article, the cross-country team for a school does not meet the notability requirements to exist as an article in an encyclopedia. You also may not create articles where you have conflict of interest. DP 22:27, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

User:Ablaskey

When I try to upload an image, I'm told I have not been autoconfirmed, even though I meet the qualifications. Please advise. Thank you. Ablaskey (talk) 23:18, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - If the file you want to upload is available under a free license, it should be uploaded to our free media repository, the Commons. You do not need any special permissions to upload there, and you can use the same username and password you use here. If it is not available under a free license, it should be requested using the Files for Upload process, which does not require any special permissions. BTW you also just need two more edits to become autoconfirmed. Armbrust The Homunculus 23:23, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe the error message that caused this person to ask for confirmation needs to be updated to explain all the other ways an image can be contributed. Such a correction might significantly reduce the number of requests we get on this page. ~Amatulić (talk) 00:09, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I was checking up on the CISSP page. I got certified as a CISSP recently and I noticed that your logo on the page is outdated. I want to upload the new one. Pandu !!! (talk) 13:59, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. You can still contribute an image. Read the big box at the top of this page. ~Amatulić (talk) 15:20, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I already tried that. But I end up in this page > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Files_for_upload/Wizard/License — Preceding unsigned comment added by Panduka85 (talkcontribs) 15:27, 17 April 2014

Not done There is nothing on Wikipedia that requires "urgency". Considering that the first of your edits have either been tests or have actually caused damage to articles, there's no valid reason to be granting confirmed status. You do not need any specific rights to create an article - indeed, you've already found your WP:SANDBOX, so you can start drafting an article there. Or, you can use the WP:AFC process. Please take greater care with your edits in the future, and pay close attention to the Help information I provided on your talkpage  the panda  ₯’ 09:46, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
