Confirmed

I would like to edit Ebola virus disease but it is protected. I have made an edit request at Talk:Ebola_virus_disease#Edit_request:_Sudan_1976_cases, but the process is slow and I would like to make additional changes more easily. I have previous editing experience and I am familiar with Wikipedia policies, and I already have an edit history relating to ebolaviruses. Xqxf (talk) 01:46, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I would be a little sad if this request ends up "already done" just due to being autoconfirmed in a couple days, so I'd appreciate it if someone would either approve or deny it before then.
Ebola virus disease is an important topic to improve right now, and the article is in need of some work (and I have spare time right now!) I think the autoconfirm policy is doing more harm than good here, since I've been heavily editing several other ebolavirus articles without any real issues,[1] yet can't edit Ebola virus disease (I had a proposed change accepted there...but too slowly to use edit requests to make various technical fixes.) :(
This page says "With no track record for your account there is no basis for knowing if we should confirm you early", but I feel like I've met that with my contributions to date. Xqxf (talk) 02:03, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to edit the Alzheimer's disease page to provide some additional information about neuraldegeneration, but it seems to be protected. When I went to make the edit it told me I would need to be auto-confirmed. My account is about 3-4 months old and I have made at least 100+ edits maybe more. Not entirely sure if my account is auto-confirmed or if I will need special authorization for that page. Any help on the matter would be appreciated. Could someone possibly enlighten me to the process. Thanks.

Done Not sure why the autoconfirm failed, but I have done it. FYI: next time, please follow the directions for submitting a request carefully :-) the panda ₯’ 18:17, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

nikola tesla. search "other plants" on his page. It should read "other planets". I just want to fix a spelling error.

Not done ... although I have fixed the spelling error. Using the instructions provided to you when you attempted to fix it yourself could have ensured it was fixed earlier. the panda ₯’ 10:22, 10 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It wouldn't let me put up a picture of a Gwyniad, a Critically Endangered species of fish.[reply]
Not done - If the file you want to upload is available under a free license, it should be uploaded to our free media repository, the Commons. You do not need any special permissions to upload there, and you can use the same username and password you use here. If it is not available under a free license, it should be requested using the Files for Upload process, which does not require any special permissions.

"I want to help the people by sharing with them my knowledge :)"

  •  Not done As is noted at the top of the page, there are only a very few specific circumstances where we will exempt users from the very low bar of 10 edits and four days of experienced to be automatically confirmed. The reason you have given is not one of those few exceptions. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:45, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am a PhD student. In one of my research projects, we're tasked with updating or creating an article in the field of multi-dimensional signal processing, specifically non-video or image applications. I have chosen Space-Time Adpative Processing, a field I'm quite familiar with. I've made one big edit so far, and have several more I will be adding. I do not want to make incremental edits to get to the autoconfirmed status, but need the ability to upload images (block diagrams of 2-dimensional finite impulse response space-time filters, beamforming magnitude responses etc). Thank you Bryan8412 (talk) 03:34, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Wikipedia!

I would like to get an early conformation for the following reason. I have edited some past wiki pages and added some great detail, most of them have been past storms in my area, but I have some wonderful files to go with those and since I am a new user I cannot upload them. Yes it has come to a point where it almost makes me frustrated and yes I do look forward into editing more wiki pages and adding files. So if you don't mind please can you except this request as soon as possible. Thank you!

                                                                                                                      Cheers, Lucas Bourque
