The Real Housewives of Melbourne (abbreviated RHOMelbourne) is an Australian reality television series that premiered on February 23, 2014 on Arena. Developed as the fourth international installment of The Real Housewives franchise, following The Real Housewives of Athens, Vancouver, and Les Vraies Housewives in France, it has aired one season and focuses on the personal and professional lives of several women residing in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The first season is composed of 12 episodes, including the two-part reunion, and took 115 days to film.[1][2] The reunion was filmed on 30 March 2014 with Alex Perry as the host.[3] On 8 May 2014 the series was renewed for a second season, with filming occurring between August to November 2014 and a premiere date of February 22, 2015.[4][5][6]

The Real Housewives of Melbourne follows the lavish lives of several women in Melbourne. It premiered on February 23, 2014. It first followed Gina Liano, Lydia Schiavello, Janet Roach, Jackie Gillies, Andrea Moss and Chyka Keebaugh. [7] It was renewed for a second season on May 8, 2014. [8] Moss departed the program after the conclusion of the first season and was replaced by Gamble Breaux and Pettifleur Berenger in season 2, while Lisa Tonkin was upgraded from a guest role to a friend of the housewives alongside Christa Billich who joined late into the second season. Filming for the second season began in late August 2014 and concluded on November 25, 2014. [9] [10] On December 8, 2014, it was announced that season 2 will premiere February 22, 2015 [11]

  • Gina Liano is a barrister.[12] She is a single mother of two and lives in Toorak.[12]
  • Lydia Schiavello is married to Australian architect and CEO of Metier 3, Andrew Norbury.[12] She is studying interior design and decoration at RMIT University.[12] Schiavello has six children and step-children.[12]
  • Janet Roach is a property developer.[12] She is a mother of two sons.[12]
  • Jackie Gillies is a psychic. She is the wife of Silverchair drummer and Bento front man, Ben Gillies.[12]
  • Chyka Keebaugh is the owner of three event companies, The Big Group, The Design Depot and Capital Kitchen.[12] She has two children.[12]
  • Gamble Breaux is a contemporary art collector and consultant, she loves all things beautiful. She believes in always looking your best, even if that means a little nip and tuck. A big dog lover, Gamble is bubbly and fun and always up for a party.[12]
  • Pettifleur Berenger is a determined, feisty and glamorous woman who thrives on a life of accomplishment and luxury. She is a successful property developer, lives in a penthouse in the heart of the city and is mother to three fantastic boys.[12]

Former Housewives

  • Andrea Moss is a former New York City television journalist who now lives in Toorak.[12] She runs a plastic surgery and cosmetic medicine business, Liberty Belle Skin Centre, with her husband, Dr Chris Moss.[12] The couple have three children together.[12]

In the United States the series first aired on Bravo August 3, 2014.[25] and concluded on October 19, 2014. In the United Kingdom the series airs on ITVBe, premiering 6 November 2014.[26]
