Specific game vs. universe

In the table displaying the figurines and the universe they come from, most "universes" are the names you would give an entire series of games. For example, The Legend of Zelda instead of, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. So why is Pit's universe Kid Icarus: Uprising? The series would be called Kid Icarus, since there are two other games that have the same naming formula as The Legend of Zelda. I'm going to change it, but this is my reasoning for doing so.--153.90.122.88 (talk) 18:12, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Correction of list / dates

Now that pre-orders are being accepted by major vendors, I believe the figure list should be updated. 12 figures are available, while Pit, Zelda and Bowser are not. Samus amiibo error

This is mentioned on a number of websites (a Google search for Samus amiibo turned up several articles on the first page), but is it significant enough to incorporate into the article? I'm not much into collectibles, so I don't have the foggiest clue how this would be treated. Rarity

Should this be a section of the article? Considering how some of the uncommon figures, like Marth and Villager, are now going for more than triple the initial cost second-hand, it seems relevant enough to mention in the article. 50.173.217.50 (talk) 19:55, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

Undo the reversion?

That someone must have lazily used a revert tool. There are lot of problems on the article and I don't think someone even checked what they are. There are duplicate list of "Supported games". As the 'supported game' in the table grow, the table will stretch very wide across the article. This table fits under WP:INDISCRIMINATE for all the red X's on every characters that aren't exclusive and aren't compatible with particular games. The release date already been mentioned multiple times. It also got an issue for other regions with their different release dates. It's already taken care in the article outside of table. This reversion did restored the bad table codes as well. He claimed it a "unconstructive edit". Rukario-sama ^ㅈ^ -(...) 22:45, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

Toon Link's from column is supposed to be The Legend of Zelda

For some reason, the page listed specifically The Legend of Zelda" The Wind Waker. I had previously fixed this (may have been logged off), but I noticed this error is back. The from column is supposed to list the series, not the specific title (if it were to then Link/Zelda should reference Twilight Princess, the Fire Emblem characters their own specific games, etc...). I have fixed it to The Legend of Zelda. Please watchout for whoever is making these dumb edits. Thegreyanomaly (talk) 16:18, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

No, I changed it to refer to the specific game that the particular form represents. Toon Link is specifically meant to be Wind Waker-style Link. ViperSnake151  Talk  16:45, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

@ViperSnake151: - then do so for every other game. Link/Zelda/Sheik/Ganondorf are all 'specifically meant to be Twilight Princess styled. Ike is a character specific to Path of Radiance, and Lucina and Robin are specific to Awakening, all mega-evolving Pokemon in the gamemega-evolving Charizard and Lucario (and probably Mewtwo) are specific to Pokemon XY/ORAS, etc.... If Toon Link is specific referenced to Wind Waker, then for consistency the same must be done for all other game-specific characters/styles. Super Mario Bros. series amiibo need to be in the table

Hope(N Forever) recently removed the Super Mario Bros. series repeats (i.e., all but Toad) amiibo from the table (twice). This table is meant to cover all amiibo. You cannot selectively remove some SKUs because they have the same characters and compatibilities as others. I have reverted their removal and am now leaving the page alone to avoid any possible edit-war. Perhaps, if having them in this format is not amenable, we could try making two separate tables? Change release date to something else in the table like wave #?

The main problem I'm seeing is the different release dates in other regions. If we included the release dates from various regions to the table, the table height will be increased drastically. Upcoming Issues

With more and more games receiving the Amiibo treatment, the table will eventually get to large for Wikipedia. I suggest we come up with an alternative, maybe a table per Amiibo or table per game, or divide it up into paragraphs per Amiibo, or something else that works. --Vahnx (talk) 02:57, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

48 SSB Amiibo models?

While Super Mario Bros will have upcoming 6 Amiibo models as they're announced on the Amiibo website. There are only 29 Amiibo models released and 6 upcoming Amiibo models on the way for SSB series, who said there will be additional 13 on the way? May be the case of WP:CRYSTAL at this point. I believe it comes from Shinya Takahashi saying in an IGN interview that the plan is for all playable characters on Smash 4's roster to get their own Amiibo (48 being the the total number of characters on the roster minus Miis, alt costumes (Alph and Koopalings) and DLC Mewtwo). Still, it's ambiguous whether a character will get their own Amiibo in the case of Alph, Koopalings, Miis and Mewtwo. Amiibo Numbers

The European versions of the Smash Bros Amiibos (And probably the super mario ones, but not confirmed) have official numbering, rather than just waves. this is shown both on the Nintendo Website (http://store.nintendo.co.uk/amiibo.list), and on the packaging itself (www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00Q6A571A) - it would be useful to be able to sort the list of Amiibo chart by those numbers - is that OK to add?
