Cape Penguin? Could someone explain the name, or is it a typo?

The name is Cape Pangolin it is the name of a mammal with large brown scales and it is not a typo. Does that help? Hope so. ^_^ --Eragon 17:43, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Manis or Smutsia?

What is the current genus, and by what authority? • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk): 15:02, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Guadin et al 2009 [1] is the latest literature on the taxonomy of Pangolins. the Ground pangolin falls under Smutsia. The four asian pangolins remain in the Genus Manis while the four african pangolins are split between Smutsia and Phataginus.208.103.112.69 (talk) 14:45, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
