<Cityname> <City>

There is a discussion regarding the removal of the word "city" from the article names of Philippine cities. This may imminently affect the article name for General Santos. For city names which are not unique, disambiguation alternatives are also being presented. Formal request for page move may follow after a reasonable time of discussion. If you wish to participate, please post your comments here. --JinJian (talk) 03:53, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Famous People

Undid the content removal done by Jakemonte80 last 00:15, 27 September 2011 for Notable People, formerly Boxing Capital and City of Champions. —Allenjambalaya (talk) 08:23, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Basing upon other wiki articles regarding cities, maybe creating a new wiki page about the list of people from General Santos City would be more appropriate. —Allenjambalaya (talk) 08:15, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Cagayandeoro skyline.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

An image used in this article, File:Cagayandeoro skyline.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Weather Data is Suspect

The precipitation weather data for General Santos here does not match that data at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_of_the_Philippines for the same city. It's a lot drier on this page, which does not jive with what I know about this city. Is the Philippine Chamber of Commerce at work again? Raylopez99 (talk) 21:13, 21 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
