Bangalore

Hi Kailash. Hope everything is fine. After that personal loss, you know i've been leading a recluse life. After a suggestion by a doctor, i left for Bangalore this October. New place, new language (people are comfortable speaking Telugu there and that was a boon for me) and some old memories. Also managed to meet Upendra again (wish i took a photo and upload it in commons, but it didn't happen). All in all, it was a good trip. Though everything continues to haunt, the effect is less now and i'm happy that panic attacks have ceased. I've returned today evening to Hyderabad. Did you ever visit Bangalore? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:46, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, my father's brother lived there and their cousin currently lives there. I've visited them both in Bangalore. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:51, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Good. I think Bangalore is one of the pleasant cities in India i ever visited (in terms of climate and serenity). The traffic was a headache though. BTW, do you have any info about Kalyanam Panni Paar and Malliswari from Danny's books? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 00:59, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Both are not there. And did KPP ever have a Tamil version? Cos the books cover only Tamil films. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:51, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
KPP had a Tamil version it seems. A few video songs are available in YouTube. Malliswari is a cult film in both the languages, don't know why Danny missed it. Anyways, thanks. My goal is just to expand it to permissible limits. I don't think so that the reference count would cross ten. Still, i'm hopeful of a possible GA! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 05:48, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've requested a c/e at the GOCE for Pelli Chesi Choodu. If everything goes well, this would be another GA of mine! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 10:24, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kailash, after Dr. Blofeld's comments at the FAC, i have added three reviews after a hectic, long search. But, one of them by Vamsee Juluri does not have the page numbers specified. Can you help? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 04:31, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Did you get the chapter's name/number? You could add that. Kailash29792 (talk) 05:36, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is chapter 1, topic no. 2/4. How to mention this? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 05:53, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I guess this is how it will work: {{sfn|Author|Year|loc=chapter x}}. Or read Template:sfn for more. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:11, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You could also add sources to the footnotes, eg: the Kaurava and Laddoo footnotes. They will help expand the article. Kailash29792 (talk) 08:15, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think this will be of any use? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 02:40, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Seems very useful. For which article do you intend to use it? Kailash29792 (talk) 03:15, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
For me, it is Kumari 21F at present. You can use it for Sethu, Nanda and Enthiran if you want. You can also expand Rathnavelu's article with this if you want. Do you think it can be used in the "Legacy" sections of Mouna Raagam, Nayakan, Agni Natchatiram, Geethanjali, and Thiruda Thiruda? I think it can be used in them as he commenced his work in 1993. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 03:53, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In the source I did not find mention of any of Ratnam's films you have mentioned here (except Bombay). But I did find mention of Bala's films, so it will be useful in their articles. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:15, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've used it in Kumari 21F now. Because of his interviews, the production section has been comfortably divided into two (Development and Filming). Do you think i have to make any further changes in that section? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 04:32, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Copyediting

Hi Kailash - I was asked to copyedit Urumi_(film) but have since gotten involved with multiple projects and a case at ArbCom so I was hoping you could give it a look when you get time. Thanks in advance.... Atsme📞📧 12:08, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Is it listed at the GOCE? Someone there should edit it. Kailash29792 (talk) 12:10, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hiphop Tamizha

Hiphop Tamizha have also confirmed the project on their offical Twitter page. You can make the relevant changes, when you feel it is apt to add it. Editor 2050 (talk) 16:00, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Editor 2050, but their Facebook page (verified one) does not say so. And though their Twitter page is indeed official and confirms HHT's involvement in the film, it does not have that verified sign (blue box with a tick). How do we then use it as a source here? Kailash29792 (talk) 16:10, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure. I guess an official press release will be out soon. Editor 2050 (talk) 16:12, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure about the credibility of this source, but I have used it. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:19, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks. Editor 2050 (talk) 16:21, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Enthiran Vs. Hollywood

Kailash and Ssven2, I've observed that someone is trying to make a statement that Enthiran has similarities with Upendra's Hollywood. I really appreciate your efforts on Enthiran regarding this issue at the moment. Perhaps, these may be helpful to you both—1,2 Pavanjandhyala (talk) 09:10, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Neither of the sources confirm that Enthiran is even partially based on Hollywood, whose lead actor describes the former as an "absolute original". Kailash29792 (talk) 09:17, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well, that is something i too am trying to say. Defend yourself using these. Also, Upendra is its writer, and a writer's statement in such cases is surely valuable for defense. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 09:20, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'll add it in the "plagiarism allegations" section in this evening. Pavan, could you try and find references which show when the reports of "similarities" between the two films surfaced? Thanks.  — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 09:21, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Although Wikipedia has a policy against rumours, in select situations they are fine. This should be one such. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:23, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ssven2, apart from this, i could not find anything else. But i found something rather strange else here, which makes me rethink about Upendra the filmmaker again. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 09:35, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kailash and Ssven2, Pelli Chesi Choodu is now a GA! I really managed to make an article with less than 20 citations pass the requirements (though Doctor found it OK considering the availability of sources). Now, i am just one step away from 20-0! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:55, 27 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pride of Tamil cinema

I see that the book contains paraphrased information from Wikipedia and other sources, including the DFF archives. At this stage, I seriously doubt its credibility. What say? Vensatry (Talk) 09:51, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I too can clearly say it is not entirely a credible source due to numerous inaccuracies and content copied from us and its reliance on many low quality sources. Some quotes have not been paraphrased at all. I do not want to see Danny as another James Tod. But none of the inaccuracies in the book have been proven yet, so I don't think it yet qualifies as a non-reliable source. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:00, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Look at the awards claim in Iruvar for instance. I've been constantly reverted by some fanboy IPs. Vensatry (Talk) 13:33, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Reliable or not, if it qualifies as WP:MIRROR, we shouldn't use it. Vensatry (Talk) 13:35, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pravbv

I surely believe that it is another sock by Padmalakshmisx. Do what is supposed to be done. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 13:22, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pravbv's disruptive editing style, rude attitude, bombarding talk pages with multiple sections, all beginning in small-case letters and him being familiar with Wikipedia despite his account being created in August this year, these alone should give away Padmalakshmisx's barely concealed cover. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:25, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please file the case at SPI? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 13:26, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

dont waste your time, internet, and man hours on sock puppet investigations, no one is interested in SPI investigations now-a-days, unsourced content cannot be accepted Pravbv (talk) 13:29, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I should tell that to a cyber criminal like you Pravbv. It's true many people are not interested in SPI cases, but no-one can accept damaging of articles by adamant "editors" like you. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:36, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

mahesh babu

pavanjandhyala is reverting it to unsourced content, which is completely of original research, and mahesh babu father krishn'a point of view, like what he wanted for his son, and it is full of original research, i request your interference, my advice is stop wasting your time on proving his allegations over me.Pravbv (talk) 13:27, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pravbv, please review Pavan's version and compare it with yours. Though I have not read his version fully, it looks more polished and presentable than yours. And please stop attacking other editors. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:32, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

cyber criminal ?

cyber criminal is a big word, mahesh babu is not my relative and he is not giving me any money boss, on the other hand, it is not pavan jandhayals version I am against to, it is some other editors version with poor english, and zero inline citations boss. You are making allegations boss. Pravbv (talk) 13:46, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
