Terrorist attack

Why was the despriction of this event as a "terrorist attack" removed from the lede? Are there still people who are trying to pretend like this wasn't a terrorist attack? ParkH.Davis (talk) 05:20, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think I removed it. Per the definition of Terrorism, I don't think it's yet clear that this was the intent, although I believe it's one likely possibility. My guess is we'll hear all about the shooter's motivations at some point, and then be able to make a judgment as to whether he was attempting to deter abortion doctors, or patients, or Planned Parenthood specifically, from operating -- or whether he saw this as more like a revenge killing (in which case I would say that is not "terrorism"), or defense of a third party (i.e., on behalf of the unborn), in which case I would also say that is not "terrorism."
