- http://www.wikiknowledge.net/wiki/index.php?title=Pok%C3%A9mon (formerly at b:pokédex) - Base stats, breeding info, the works. This only covers info from the core RPGs and the card game and doesn't have Colosseum or Emerald info.
- http://www.pokemondungeon.com/pokedex.htm - For Pokémon from the Kanto and Johto series (Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Stadium 1, Stadium 2). Includes Pokédex entries, attacks, stats, and where to find it.
- http://www.serebii.net/potw/ - Although only about half of all Pokémon have thus far have been a 'Pokémon Of The Week' here, this site is handy, because it tells you what episodes of the animé it has played a role in, and links to exhaustive descriptions of each episode's action (which can readily be summed up in a sentence or two).
- http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page - Bulbapedia - a Pokémon-centric wiki. Useful for Pokémon character information. (Please don't use material from Bulbapedia verbatim; while it is a wiki, it uses CC-by-nc-sa 2.0, an incompatible license.)

(Note: IE will try to download the file instead of displaying it in the browser, to work around this, replace .php with .txt to view directly in the browser.)

What you can do
- Fix the in-universe perspective.
- Find references!
- It's a starter evolution - the video games section deserves much more than that
- Expand the anime section.
- Create a trading card game section.
- Write a manga section, Gold has one in Pokémon Adventures.
What's been done
- I added the TCG section —Minun Spiderman • Review Me 09:46, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- I added an image —Minun Spiderman • Review Me 10:01, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- I added the manga section

- Me and a bunch of other users added references —Minun Spiderman • Review Me 10:21, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- Added TCG pic. Alvin6226 talk 04:59, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Rewrote manga, I lifted a para of Charizard that I had wrote. Clarke the Conductor, squashed by a flying ice cube. XD Highway Return to Oz... 18:28, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Fixed up characteristics removing in-universe POV, and made some chages to the Video Game section which were promptly reversed. The reverser has not responded yet to my inquiries and I'd like others to go view my changes and give their feedback on Talk:Quilava. Zappernapper 00:14, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Could you please stop trying to have a go at me? I reverted your changes, because parts of it were nonsense and original research. I suggest you let go of any grudges you have against me, because it isn't help your case. Highway Return to Oz... 10:43, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- please refer to WP:DR thank you Zappernapper 18:58, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

- I added a bit more to the TCG section and I cleaned up the Infobox. Double Dash 11:12, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- I added possible Japanese name origin and moved some information down to the characteristics section. Shaojian 04:57, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've cleaned up grammar in the "In the video games" section. I tried to make the section a little more concise. --Brandon Dilbeck 05:27, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- I deleted the quotes in the "Characteristics" section, deleted already mentioned info in "In the video games", and added minor details in "In the manga". -DragonMan98 16:40, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- the quotes were there because parts of it were verbatim from the Pokedex itself. -Zappernapper 04:26, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Current 'Other' Article Focus: Pokémon
What you can do
Right, I think we need a change since this hasn't changed since the founding of the project. This is our core topic so really needs to be an FA (though, with very little work it could become a GA and that's a good short term goal). Here's what we need to do:
- A major thing we need is references, references and references some more. Plenty from third party, reputable sources (BBC ...etc...).
- Religion section - what about the other major world religions?
- Needs a "Other media" section for books, toys ...etc...
- Rename "Card Game" to "Pokémon Trading Card Game"
- "Cultural influence" is pitiful. Really pitiful.
- Should we delete the User Contribution bit? Highway Rainbow Sneakers 16:06, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Which user contribution bit? --Celestianpower háblame 16:29, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- "Fan User Contributions", absolute crud in my opinion. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 16:50, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Which user contribution bit? --Celestianpower háblame 16:29, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Should we delete the User Contribution bit? Highway Rainbow Sneakers 16:06, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Tag Pokémon-related images with {{Pokefair}}
What's been done
- This section is kept primarily for archival purposes.
- I fixed up the intro. --Celestianpower háblame 15:01, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Renamed "Card Game" Highway Rainbow Sneakers 16:50, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Converted references (both of them) Highway Rainbow Sneakers 17:52, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- Changed Pikachu picture in anime section Highway Rainbow Sneakers 17:52, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- Converted all in-line refs to footnotes PCEevee 19:39, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't think the section on zbtb7 was relevant, considering it has it's own article anyway, and I think we should have more room without it, so I deleted it.--XenoNeon (converse) 10:22, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- Which then was reverted. You can't delete an entire section of a flagship article without consenus. I'd rather have the "other article" references at the top removed. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 18:59, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- These comments, however, have no relevance. I think we should stick with the article link at the top.--XenoNeon (converse) 11:39, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
- Which then was reverted. You can't delete an entire section of a flagship article without consenus. I'd rather have the "other article" references at the top removed. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 18:59, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- Erupting Turtle 19:27, 10 June 2006 (UTC) added a 'Trainers in Ruby and Sapphire' to the Pokémon Trainer section!
