RfC about the author credits of first edition in first sentence in book article

RfC about the author credits of first edition in first sentence in a book article.

Why is the Seal black & white?

It was changed recently. I understand, officially, that "Some versions of the University seal feature a fluted edge. However, the current version with a clean, smooth edge is preferred." and that is why it was changed, but why is it black & white? The visual standards neglects to state this preference.

    http://visualeditorialstandards.psu.edu/graphic-identity-system/university-seal/

Here is a version in blue & white:

Just wondering. Sorry if this post is improperly formatted; I'm relatively new to editing Wikipedia.

    NAS Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico

    Folks,

Could not find any mention of NAS Roosevelt Roads on any of the listings...active or otherwise. When the bombing range on Vieques was closed down would have to assume that Roosy Roads was no longer of use so it probably was abandoned but thought it still worth listing in the former naval air stations.

Had some great times there supporting Marine fighter squadrons there in the 1950's. Did manage to put one FJ-2 in the weeds over the overrun when he missed the Morest gear cable

There is a request for Jennifer Lawrence to be featured on the main page for her upcoming birthday on August 15th. See Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/Jennifer Lawrence for more. Would prefer responses sooner rather than later. Snuggums (talk / edits) 20:16, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Move request underway for New York topics

    Hi all

This is a heads up to let you know that there is a requested move, proposing to move the New York (disambiguation) page to New York, and the current New York page to New York (state). Please go to Talk:New York (disambiguation), read through the request and give your thoughts and feedback in the discussion. Thanks!  — Amakuru (talk) 11:54, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Operation Rat Killer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

    unreferenced material

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Recruit new editors for the project?

Hi, Just wonder if there is any template or program in the project to recruit newcomers or new editors to join the project? Bobo.03 (talk) 18:09, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Bobo.03: Honestly doing anything for this project is like handling plutonium. I stopped editing this project when Kumioko got banned and Wikipedia a short time later. He was trying to improve Wikipedia and did a hell of a job doing it and got run out of here for his efforts by people who largely just want to push POV. I would recommend letting this project die and mark it and all the others its associated to as inactive. 73.109.57.27 (talk) 13:43, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry to hear that, but still hope things will pass and it would get better over time.. Bobo.03 (talk) 15:42, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! There is currently a dispute at Simone Manuel, an article under this WikiProject's scope, regarding the statement that Manuel is the first black woman to win a swimming gold in an individual event and whether or not Ranomi Kromowidjojo's racial background renders this statement incorrect for Manuel.
