Maluma's influences?

Why is the editor Cornerstonepicker repeatedly removing Ricky Martin and Michael Jackson under Maluma's influences in favor of Justin Timberlake?

Now this person is accepting the inclusion of Jackson, but is arguing that Martin should not be included because "admiration is not a musical influence." So then why did he include Timberlake in the article under influences when the cited Billboard interview only calls him a "hero"? Meanwhile, Maluma has cited Martin MULTIPLE times (long before trying to cross over) as an influence calling him "maestro de maestros," an "idol" and someone "he wanted to be":

So why is "hero" Timberlake included, but not "maestro de maestros" and "idol" Martin again? I'm guessing the editor is a Timberlake fan judging from his/her edit history and probably learned of Maluma from his recent Billboard magazine interview about his English crossover where he mentioned Timberlake. Cornerstonepicker, please respond and be objective. Thanks. AyanP (talk) 19:34, 1 August 2017 (UTC)AyanP[reply]

@AyanP: No, all wrong. I was the one who added Michael Jackson the first time... and he should stay because Maluma called him a musical influence in his Billboard inteview. I didn't add Timberlake because he said is his "hero"; I added Timberlake because he said he influences his sound[1] Musical inspiration, not someone he admires. The section is called "Artistry", not "Idols". Find a reliable source where Maluma call Martin a musical inspiration/influence and then add him back. I edit several pages constantly, mainly related to Chris Stapleton, Kendrick Lamar, Liam Payne, and I am objective with all of them. También hablo español, by the way. @Cornerstonepicker: Fine, I'll look for a source where he more explicitly mentions a music connection since you're not budging. I'm surprised you're allowing Timberlake and Jackson in the article when they seem like generic name drops. He's actually mentioned Hector Lavoe and Ricky Martin so many times for a long time (including covering songs and even emulating their singing style like in "Carnaval"). And sorry!
