Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch (Template:Lang-ur), also spelled Quratulain Balouch, known by her fans as 'QB', is a Pakistani singer-songwriter.[1]

Background

Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch was born in Pakistan to a Persian father and a Multani Mother (from Multan, Pakistan)[2]. In 2007, she moved to the USA with her family. She has a Bachelors degree in IT essentials Multimedia. She received no vocal training before she started singing[3].

Early Career

She began her career in 2011, with a cover of Reshma's classic song Akhiyan Nu Rehn De. With that spark, she was offered the track Panchi with Jal with Coke Studio, a Pakistani television series which features live studio-recorded music performances[4].

Rise to Fame

She recorded the title song Woh Humsafar Tha of the very popular Pakistani drama series, Humsafar. Upon the release, the song topped charts in Pakistan along with some other nations and captured a positive reviews from both critics and audience[5]. In 2012, Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch won two Lux Style Awards at 11th Lux Style Awards for Woh Humsafar Tha.
