Reversion in TAP Portugal

I don't know what kind of reversion you may have made in TAP Portugal page according to your justification, since TAP Portugal doesn't fly to Tel Aviv, nor any other city in Asia. Nupest 0:10, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Finding reliable source

Hi jetstremar I am runaparvin you told me if I want to add anything I have to add a reliable source but how can I add a reliable source changing the destinations? Please help me adding a reliable source but I can't understand why not you changing the page of us-bangla airlines.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Runaparvin (talkcontribs)

Aeroflot 593

Hello Jetstreamer: Wow you caught me as Im about to go get some sleep :) so I guess to the point, lol..ok Aeroflot 593, about the Boeing 737 next to it, I'm agreeing with you, not 100 percent but certainly enough to tell you I see your point, and you are probably correct. About listing the Jessica Dubroff article there, I put an explanation as why she-or should I say, it-should be on the "see also" list right next to the link itself. I mean to me they were similar because they were both instances in which children were in the cockpit during a tragic circumstance. Anyways, take care, God bless you!...Antonio AeroCrazyLot Martin (loser's talk page) 13:55, August 30, 2016 (UTC)

Air Namibia accra/Lagos routing

Please note that Air Namibia 'resumes' the Accra route which they've abandoned in 2013. The Lagos-leg, however is new, therefore 'begins'. Please correct this.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Bundubear (talkcontribs) 29 August 2017 (UTC)

Thanks

I thought Aeromexico Connect took over Aeromexico’s main Monterrey-Las Vegas route. My apologies.

Removing flynas from hubs in dammam airport

Please don't remove flynas from the hubs in dammam airport, as it is an official hub.

Read WP:VERIFY regarding the addition of unsourced content.--Jetstreamer Talk 12:15, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Adding information

Hello, you have been deleting many of my edits for reasons such as no sources or "good faith edits" Just so you know I'm from dammam and I keep close attention to things that happen there. Many of the info about it are outdated or wrong and the majority don't have sources. As you know the language there is Arabic so the news and sources are in Arabic and that's how I get my information. So pages need to be updated by people who actually live and know what's going on in their own city.

BaderJF — Preceding unsigned comment added by Baderjf (talkcontribs) 12:40, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

″I'm from Dammam″ does not qualify as a reliable source, and there's an ongoing thread at WP:ANI so please discuss the matter there.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:19, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced content

i read your message and I apologize for adding unsourced content. I'll be more careful and make sure that's it's sourced next time.Tigerdude9 (talk) 16:21, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't add any "unreferenced claims" I just corrected the grammar. "reclining seats 180 degrees"? Just add an "unreferenced" template, instead of undoing edits. I also added some citation needed templates, why did you undo that also? Itsquietuptown (Just talk to me here) 03:04, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You did not correct the grammar, you modified statements having no sources without providing references. Read WP:VERIFY.--Jetstreamer Talk 13:27, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's why I added a citation needed template, and also an unreferenced section template. Anyways I'm just going to add the unreferenced template for now. ITSQUIETUPTOWN talkcontribs 14:27, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's good for me. Thank you.--Jetstreamer Talk 14:32, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Review Newsletter No.10

Hello Jetstreamer, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

ACTRIAL:

  • ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.

Paid editing

  • Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.

Subject-specific notability guidelines

Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled

  • While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.

News

  • The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. All editors of Wikipedia and associated projects are welcome to submit articles on any topic for consideration by the The Signpost's editorial team for the next issue.

Reverting edits and comments

Please take this as a friendly comment - my intentions are good and honourable.

I see from your background that you're seriously clever with an extensive academic background and you presumably have a great interest in disseminating knowledge and Wikipedia in general and ensuring that it's easy to source knowledge in a reliable and consistent way - i.e. be able to use Wikipedia as a reliable encyclopedia and have confident that the information it contains is correct. However sometimes the comments you leave could maybe be perceived by others as maybe a little abrupt or even intimidating - particularly to new users who don't have the Wikipedia experience that you have. It may of course be a cultural thing - people from one country can interpret a comment as very normal while those from another country may take offence.

I imagine that you lead a busy life and so it's perhaps best if some of the simpler edits can be left to other people (think of all the teenagers being encouraged at school to make wiki edits) but if people think they are being told off by other editors they may end up leaving Wikipedia altogether. I'm sure you don't intend to come across that way - your history of edits shows you want Wikipedia to succeed, but would it perhaps be possible to make others feel a little more welcome (e.g. by changing the way to phrase things to *appear* a little less critical), even when they do something that is against wiki policy ? I want to be very clear - I'm not trying to say your intentions are bad - just that the perception of your intentions can sometimes be a little scary to new editors ! Apart from vandals, most people on here have good intentions - we need those people (even if they make mistakes) to keep Wikipedia vibrant. Pmbma (talk) 19:10, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Air New Zealand Flight 901

I'm confused by what you meant by "exactly what grounds?". What are you exactly talking about?Tigerdude9 (talk) 14:13, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In this [1] edit you used the following edit summary: ″Clarified some sections and explained exactly why the aircraft's wreckage still remains at the crash site.″ What did you mean by ″exactly″? ″Exactly″ according to whom? Sources are mandatory for modifications like ″due to its remote location and weather conditions hampering any further recovery. During the cold periods, the wreckage is buried″. This is yet another unsourced edit of yours.--Jetstreamer Talk 23:26, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
