Hi, I am RoadieRich. If you're going to abbreviate it, I prefer to be called Rich, as calling me Roadie would feel like calling Bob the Builder "Builder". I use that job as part of my username because, while I was never actually a Roadie, I was a stage crewman on both a professional and volunteer basis for a number of venues.

I was born in Boston, Lincolnshire, grew up in Nottinghamshire, and now live in west Michigan.

I am a former student of Loughborough University, where I studied (and dropped out of) a Maths degree, and Nottingham Trent University, where I graduated with a degree in Software Engineering in 2014. I am currently employed as a software engineer for Dematic.

I have an Extra class Amateur radio license, and my wife and are members of a number of reenacting groups portraying the 95th Rifle in the War of 1812, the 47th Regiment of Foot in the American Revolutionary War, and civilians in the French and Indian Wars and the American Civil War. In the past I have also been a member of groups reenacting the English Civil War and the Jacobite Rebellion.
