@DannyS712: Yes, when an account-creation filter is tripped by an IP, the address is replaced by the username they were trying to create, in line with the privacy policy. Checkusers can find out which IP tripped any filter, but I don't believe this would be a valid reason to run a check. Certainly, not without the user's permission, in which case we can just ask them for the username instead of bothering a CU. Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 19:57, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
