Minnale (English: Lightning) is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language family soap opera starring Nirosha, newcomers Preethi Asrani and Shiv Sathish. The show replaced Thamarai and airs from Monday to Saturday, started from 6 August 2018 on Sun TV which is currently directed by D. Manoharan and produced by Radaan Mediaworks.[1] The show completed its 200th episode on 13 April 2019.
Synopsis
Minnaley is a story of Shalini (Preeti Asrani) who is in love with her medical college batchmate Rajesh (Sathish). But however, Shalini’s family and Rajesh’s Family are arch rivals in business. So, Shalini & Rajesh get married secretly. However, unknown of this fact, Shalini’s Aunt Kamala tries to get her married to Arjun, her own son much against Shalini’s will. When she gets to the truth that Shalini is married, she flungs up in anger and drafts evil plans to kill Rajesh and erase all witnesses of Shalini-Rajesh marriage. The story revolves around the brave girl, Shalini who has to fight the obstacles to save Rajesh and prove her marriage to live happily.

Casting
The series revolves around love in a family. Telugu Television Actress Preethi Asrani is making her Tamil series debut as the Main lead role. Nirosha was chosen as well after her performances in other movies and shows. Fawaz Zayani was chosen due to his performance in Sakthi, Vani Rani and Azaghu. Other supporting cast include Y. Vijaya, Nithya Ravindran and Subhadhra.
