Regarding Jerry's Voice Actors and Singers:
This nonsense code makes the article barely readable when editing. I am going to put it all back, with "citation needed" information...this process occurs EVERYWHERE on wikipedia, so I still don't see why people have edited it as "unreferenced". A simple review of the theatrical credits (and common sense--most animated features did not credit each actor to a character, until the 1990s) indicates the voice actors of Jerry. I will add more references. The completely uncredited actors, I will put "citation needed", and perhaps delete later until references can be found. Whoever read BOOKS and put them as references, can simply include the remaining voice actors as part of this article!! In-Correct (talk) 21:23, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Jasper and Jinx
In the forties, the name, “Jasper” was used for mischievous domestic shorthair cats, which Tom is apart of.
However, “Jinx” (also jynx) was most likely an indication to popular superstition and folklore; a curse, or the attribute of attracting bad, or negative luck.
The word “jynx” meaning, the bird wryneck and sometimes a charm or spell has been in use in English since the seventeenth century - was perhaps placed to describe Jerry as attracting bad luck (or a curse) upon Tom, since whenever he is seen, something bad befalls on Tom.
That’s my made-up theory for this superfluous superstition that our friend uttered, and even then, I see no good in transcribing these old, rashy names on these two great historical (and chronical) characters that drew the image of our outside world, which is full of likes of their story.
Mouse A fights with cat B, and their fight results in strife all across the continentals of catness. And I said then, Ah! it must’ve been my old raggy neighbor that always likes to attract mouseness.
Jinx?
Were Tom & Jerry originally called Jasper & Jinx? If so, shouldn't there be some mention of this in the article? VenomousConcept (talk) 16:45, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
Personality
As there's a section that lists personality traits on the page for Tom, it's only fair to have a section that lists personality traits on the page for Jerry.--Trisha Gaurav (talk) 23:28, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
- My apologies for being unfair to the fictional character. I hope it is not too upset. :)
- The list included numerous supposed "personality" traits. If "hungry" is a personality trait, it is one common to every vertebrate on the planet. I've never met you, but I'm willing to bet you've been hungry, love fun, etc. In fact, I am curious right now: how can he be "brave" and a "coward"?
- Long story short, the list is a random collection of behaviors/labels (some are adjectives/adverbs; others are nouns) that are vague and POV.
- To be fair, I'll remove the similar list on the Tom Cat article, the one about the nice sadist who is a lazy hard-worker. - SummerPhDv2.0 00:39, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Jerry (Tom and Jerry) → Jerry (fictional mouse) – The dab seems a bit weird with the article title. Since there is no other notable fictional mouse other than Jerry, I think this should be moved. Also nominating Tom (Tom and Jerry) for moving. King Prithviraj II (talk) 20:19, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. Disambiguator does not comply with the standard disambiguation choice flow. First choice would be Jerry (character)
(that doesn't exist?), then if that is ambiguous, the choice would be the subject which the character is most associated, which is Tom and Jerry.Unless the article is moved to Jerry (character),The current title is correct and meets current precedence for other related disambiguators. Steel1943 (talk) 21:46, 5 October 2017 (UTC)- With the previous comment in mind, I created Jerry (character). Steel1943 (talk) 21:51, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- Weak revert move back to Jerry Mouse per WP:NATURALDAB. Seems this page was moved to its current title without discussion back in March of this year. Steel1943 (talk) 21:57, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- Revert - Per Steel1943.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 00:39, 6 October 2017 (UTC)
- Revert back to the natural disambiguation used previously. The cartoon mouse and cat are not the only fictional "Tom and Jerry" duo, nor even the only cartoon one, so this fails on specificity. The previous title was superior. 64.105.98.115 (talk) 12:59, 6 October 2017 (UTC)
