You deleted my sandbox!

Hi. You deleted my sandbox very recently and I wanted the most recent edit so that I can transport to another page. I am sorry for misusing, but I need the most recent edit to move to another web page. Ugla'a (talk) 19:42, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Article restoration

Hi Jim,

I wish to rewrite my article about the company: Lensa - you've deleted it today. Firstly, I wanted to react to your second sentence in my deletion notice: I did not just write what I liked, I tried to be informative and unfortunately was not clear on all the guidelines there are out there.

If you have some time, could you please let me know from the draft I've created what I'd need to remove/rewrite to make sure it doesn't sound like an advertisement? I'd be happy to make the changes straight away, but at this point I don't even know how to proceed with further editing.

I appreciate your help and effort on this.

I'm a bit lost on HOW I can try again with my submission? It says on the draft page that " If you are recreating a page similar to the previously deleted page, or are unsure, please first contact the user(s) who performed the action(s) listed below." So do I submit my rewritten copy to you or how does it work exactly? I don't want to make more mistakes.

Mesi W, the point of that comment is that you consult the deleting admin before recreating to get guidance, rather than just ploughing ahead with the same problems and risking a block as WP:Not here. You've done that, so you can try again at Draft:Lensa, and let me know if you want me to take a look. You could alternatively write at User:Mesi W/sandbox, but it might be moved to draft space from there. The main thing is to take your time and make sure you get it right, each time an article gets deleted, by any admin, the more at risk your account is. Mesi W, I haven't got time to look properly until tomorrow, so let's just start with a different infobox arrangement to all other company articles, no in-line refs, no wikilinks, bare url refs, some of which I've fixed, no evidence of notability as definned on your talk page, no employee numbers, no turnover, no profits, just some stuff about a game. It's just as well I haven't got time at the moment, so it gives you a chance to read the guidance I gave and try to fix it. Hi Jim,

I don't believe you're right about the followings:

"no wikilinks - i've added at least 3 wikilinks to the article. "no evidence of notability" - i've added 4 major media coverage links, "no employee numbers" - it's right in the infobox, stating 51-100.

The stuff about the game is an informative part of the article, connected to Lensa - and it is factual, not meant to advertise the company, it's part of the company's service. Also, how is it fair that you're giving me a FEW HOURS to make changes (we're probably in different time zones...) or else you'll delete the draft again, when I've asked you politely to review it for me so it doesn't get deleted again? Are you trying to help or are you trying to give people hard time? The articles are quoting the CEO, yes, I don't believe it qualifies as self-promotion.....articles tend to quote people relevant to the subject. With respect to the infobox arrangement, that's simply because of me being inexperienced, I was planning on rearranging it but in the meantime I wanted to check in with you to see if the article itself is alright. You could easily walk me through the process of creating an infobox to match what you wish to see.

I'm getting the feeling that you're not really trying to help, but want to make sure the article stays deleted. What are the next steps if I don't agree with your review?

Mesi W I have no particular interest in helping you promote your company, but you asked me for advice which you have largely chosen to ignore. You are technically correct in that the infobox has some wikilinks and employee numbers, but there is nothing in the actual article text for either of those. You still have a do-it-yourself infobox instead of Template:Infobox company (you could have looked at any company page to find that yourself), you still have no in-line refs, and you have redefined independent sources to include your CEO, but we aren't interested in what he has to say, we want genuine third-party sources.

Media coverage in itself doesn't establish notability, please follow Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies), already linked on your talk page. Your text basically describe a game your company has invented, but it's not clear why this matters to anyone else.

I'm not going to write the article for you, it's not me that's getting paid. If requested, as here, I'll give advice, and if it's followed, that's fine. If it's ignored, the article will keep being deleted and the editor may be blocked. You would be better occupied improving the article than complaining here, but in the circumstances I'm prepared to give more time as long as I see some attempt at improvement.

If you think I am being unreasonable, there are channels to complain, but I think it's premature unless or until it's deleted again. I assure you that no admin would accept the draft in its current state Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:50, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

FM Group

Hi Jim,

I wish to rewrite my article about the company: FM Group - you've deleted it today.

Firstly, I wanted to react to keep adding information to it as I had not been finished and did not realise that it would be deleted before I had a chance to revise it.

Additionally, I am not trying to advertise for FM Group but rather inform of the services they provide. They are an important developer in the country and as such, I believe it to be relevant.

I have followed guidelines from some competitors who have a Wikipedia page, thus not understand why those are approved and mine has been deleted.

Furthermore, if you have some time, could you please let me know from the draft I've created what I'd need to remove/rewrite to make sure it doesn't sound like an advertisement?

I'd be happy to make the changes straight away, but I can't see the article anymore
