Note for these interesting times. User talk:Iridescent#Reply, having slept on it is a smart take on what is likely to happen on WP for the next few weeks/months(/years?). I promise to try to (a) be less snarky than usual, and (b) be more understanding of others' snarkiness than usual. If you think I need to dial something back, emailing me to say "Dude, maybe dial it back" is more likely to work than publicly posting a lecture on my talk page. Only because I'm human and don't like getting embarrassed.
Normal humans: I'm an admin again! Not around too much, so best to ask another admin for help, but I'll do what I can, when I can. For the foreseeable future, I'm even less likely to have time to help than normal. Still responding to pings and talk page notes about stuff I'm already involved with, but any other requests will probably be politely deflected.
Admins: If you think an admin action I've taken in the past is wrong or no longer useful, go ahead and undo or change it without feeling like you have to talk to me first.

Hijiri88 unblock request on UTRS

@Deepfriedokra: WP:AN/WP:ANI aren't really fit for purpose; I'd avoid that if there are other options. I don't do UTRS, so I don't know if this is a request to restore talk page access, or a request for unblock. If Hijiri explicitly and believably agrees to stop violating the iban, and Guerillero doesn't object, I'd suggest restoring talk page access, and any other unblock can be handled on-wiki. If they can't bring themselves to explicitly and believably agree to stop violating the iban, and argue that it was unfairly applied or it was a trap or it wasn't really an iban or the iban should never have been applied or ... then I'd decline. --Floquenbeam (talk) 13:14, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
