Year of birth

Can anyone confirm this? The article says 1985, the category says 1987! Robwingfield (talk) 22:44, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Her website has a part called "blog". She quotes a press release stating she's 19. I believe TRL also said she is 19. I have seen 19 many places, and this is the only place I've seen it stated she's over 21. --Ali Karbassi 15:44, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jay-Z CEO of DEF Jam?

Geezette?

A geezette is a female geezer innit? Definition "The typical cockney jack the lad. They dress up smart to normally pull 'birds' favourites being Stone Island and Burberry. Theyre basically like a better meaner version of a Chav and not bad people to know aslong as you just prove your a 'geezer'. Sorted me ol' mucker... Lady Sovereign is a female version of that. A geezette is a female geezer isn't it? A typical cockney jack/lad normally dresses well to attract women with whom to have sex, favourite areas (or possibly clothing labels, I dunno) being SI/Bur. They' basically a better, meaner version of chavs (q.v.) and blah blah blah. Sorted (taken care of), my friend. "to be exact"?

I don't know how wikipedia dates work, but somebody should clean up the last sentence of par.2: "She is expected to release a studio album in 2006 October 3rd 2006 to be exact."

Style of music

  • Before: Due to the commercial failure of her grime records, her label asked that she change her style of music to better suit pop/rap culture.
  • After: Sorry but I personally had to remove that whole sentence. Record label did not tell me to change my music. you have to be in my mind to know my music properly. Anyway thats all. Just wanted to clear that up. [2] 80.0.13.76 (talk • contribs)

Lady Sovereign is possibly the worst musical artist of all time and is sure to annoy anyone she comes into conact with.

I reverted that change on Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Autobiography grounds but have tagged the previous sentence with a citation required tag. First played in North America

The date and location given for the first airplay in North America is wrong. I heard the song 'Love me or hate me' in Austin, TX at least as early as mid-July on 101x. In any event, it's unverifiable and doesn't really belong does it? 72.181.190.100 03:51, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Age contradiction

The Lady Sovereign MySpace profile says she is 19 and 5' 1". So apparently its hard to cite how tall she is, as well as how old she is. Amazingracer 05:40, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion Rather Than Fact

A comment under "Early Life" states: "In the rap industry, school education is unnecessary, most other successful mainstream rappers to date didn't graduate high school."

The same could be said for ANY industry, if you happen to be naturally good at whatever it is you do for a living. Generally speaking, education is necessary to build one's skill level. I was just about to say the same thing, but for some reason I'm guessing it's an immature attack on her; like someone calling something gay, so yeah..reference it please. Actually, I suggest we remove it until it is referenced. Oreo 2 January 2007
