Summer Olympics appearances (overview)

Tuvalu sent a team of two athletes to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games have been postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[1] This will be the nation's fourth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics.

Athletics

Tuvalu received a universality slot from IAAF to send one athlete to the Olympics.[2]

Tuvalu is represented in athletic events by Karalo Hepoiteloto Maibuca in the men's 100 metres,[3] and Matie Stanley in the women's 100 metres sprint.[4]
