Notice of Wikiquette Assistance discussion

Hello, BabbaQ. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Wikiquette assistance regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.Bleubeatle (talk) 23:06, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have proposed a diplomatic solution to the on-going issues at WP:WQA to which we have been listed as involved parties. Please could you view the proposal and notify the page if you support, oppose, or wish to comment on them. Thank you. Wesley Mouse 18:19, 11 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, BabbaQ. I have added some more in this diplomatic solution. Please could you view the proposal and notify the page if you support, oppose, or wish to comment on them. Thanks Bleubeatle (talk) 07:06, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. Wesley Mouse and CT Cooper actually pointed out that they are under Wikipedia's ground policies anyways. CT Cooper also said that his talk page is open. Therefore I agree that such proposal is not needed as they may still take in effect. Bleubeatle (talk) 23:04, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Eva Rausing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Pass a Method talk 16:52, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Michaela McAreavey

Hi, Thanks for the comments on the Jo Yeates FA. I've just read through the McAreavey article. Seems fine so far, although I think the information needs reordering. The comments from the GAA president could be part of a reaction section along with those of her family and Kenny, for example. Also not sure details of the wake are strictly necessary - it's the sort of thing newspapers like to report, but I don't think it's encyclopedic content. You could ask for a peer review, as they're always very useful, particularly if you plan to take it to GA. I'm waiting to nominate Philip Smith for GA, but will be looking for another project afterwards, so could help with this. I haven't been following the case though, so would have to read up on it.

Apologies for not getting back to you on Marjorie Orbin. I did look for some more online content after you mentioned it to me, but there doesn't appear to be much out there. You've done a job with what's available though. Paul MacDermott (talk) 18:27, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Paris Hilton

I really liked the way the article was edited. Another user also said me that while doing massive changes, at least, i should leave an edit summary, and that's what i did. I've been doing several works here in wikipedia, especially to this article because it needs a lot of improvement. This is not the first massive change i've done (i have tried too other major stuff like getting together the "career" and "personal life" category), and this is actually the first time i got satisfied by the way the article was edited. What i was going to do today was correct some mistakes. Right now, i don't like the intro, it looks heavy and does not necessarily say the esential things about her career or life. I honestly prefer the edition that i made. EricaL2003 (talk) 14:57, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What was exactly what pissed you off about the latest "version" of the article?.EricaL2003 (talk) 15:06, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, i'm quite a fan, but i try to be impartial while writing the article. So, can you tell what are the things that seem to be from gossip magazines or where it is shown partiality? i will change that. Thanks for your help. EricaL2003 (talk) 16:23, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I just write about the change on the talk page. So if i change some things about the article (the gossip like info and the partiality), could i re-edit it back?. EricaL2003 (talk) 16:39, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I admire your very patient tone towards me. Thanks. But still I think you need to get more feedback from the talk page before editing anymore from other user's then me who are of a strong opinion against your version Im afraid. You need to get more feedback from user's with no strong opinion either for or against your version. And as Hilton is a public person other inputs shouldn't be so difficult to get, just wait a few days and then look at the talk page again. Cheers.--BabbaQ (talk) 16:42, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What are the parts where it is evident i'm her fan? what do i have to change to re-edit the article back?EricaL2003 (talk) 17:16, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Changing "Image" to "File"

On the principal of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", it's really not necessary to change "Image" to "File" in image descriptors. Both words work exactly the same, and there's no indication that "Image" is going to stop working anytime soon (and if it does, a bot can make the changes en masse). As it is, if you make that change, it causes the article to pop on on people's watchlists, and they have to take the time to check out what the change is, only to find a needless edit. Thanks.
