Hi Crash Underride, |
|||
I am currently enrolled in a Wikipedia class at American University and part of our assignment for this week was to join a Wikiproject and reach out to contributors. So far, I have been working on the Pro Bowl, NFL main page, History of the Giants, Darren McFadden and the New York Giants main page. Edits have mainly consisted of grammatical issues, adding citations and updating images. Is there anything else that a user should work on? Thanks, [[User:Spienciak|Spienciak]] ([[User talk:Spienciak|talk]]) 23:40, 6 February 2016 (UTC) |

- @Redrose64:, seriously? There's an undo button. Use it. Don't come to my talk page and tell me what to do. Thanks. Crash Underride 22:46, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for November 28
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Brock Williams, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Safety (gridiron football) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Pending merge of Infobox NFL coach
Hey, Crash. Looks like the oft-delayed merge of Infobox NFL coach into Infobox NFL player is finally going to happen. DeeJayK has taken the lead in cleaning up the code and eliminating redundant legacy parameters, with help from Primefac and Bagumba. The next step is going to require some manual editing to conform the team tenures and highlights data to the standard formatting used for Infobox NFL player. There are 340 transclusions of the template that will need manual editing, and I am trying to recruit 7 to 10 editors to help with this task, probably starting some time next week. Are you available to help? If we can split this 7 to 10 ways, it should be a very manageable task. Please let me know. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 23:47, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Dirtlawyer1:, I'll do what I can. Crash Underride 05:38, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you, sir, I appreciate that. I'll ping you when we're ready to roll. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 05:40, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Royal Road
"Strong style
A strict Japanese pro wrestling discipline that originated in the 1970s by Antonio Inoki. Using a combination of stiff (hard hitting) and sharp moves and strikes, such as the lariat clothesline, the chest chop, and front kicks in addition of throws and painful submission holds eg. the Inoki Signature Flyfot Abdominal Strech. Strong Style is a theory that has influenced several other styles."
"Royal road
Known also as King's Road and translated as "oudou" in Japanese, this is Shohei "Giant" Baba's theory about a pure athletic style of pro wrestling with an emphasis on world class competition. This style was formulated in the early 1970s." --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 16:20, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
- @HHH Pedrigree:, so what's the difference with them and NJPW? I thought they were also strong style? After all Shinsuke Nakamura is the "King of Strong Style". Crash Underride 16:23, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
Puroresu
Puroresu is a form of mat wrestling for the most part. Take WWE, strip it of all the over the top bullshit and blur the lines. The wrestling is more technical and hard hitting. It looks, feels, and seems less scripted. The sport is treated differently there. It is marketed as still being legitimate with press conferences. Basically it is marketed as MMA or how wrestling was in the 70s and 80s here. The style has alot to do with respect and honor.--WillC 21:00, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Wrestlinglover:, I knew a lot of that. But is Royal Road a like highly different or something? I'm talking specifics. The way I see it, lucha libre has a page, maybe Royal Road needs a page, or at least a section on the puroresu page. Crash Underride 05:59, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

Kidd and Cesaro
I apologize if I may have disrupted the Tyson Kidd and Cesaro article.--John4789 (talk) 22:10, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- @John4789: No worries, just be sure to check talk pages. Oh, also, if you see an article for a deceased wrestler, we've added a new field (death_cause). If they cause of death is known, add it, if it's not in the infobox and be sure to wikilink it. CrashUnderride 22:13, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
Benz
Regarding your post at Talk:Mercedes-Benz Stadium, consider WP:RBI. It may or may not make a difference, but consider using noticeboards or asking an admin directly instead. More ideas here.—Bagumba (talk) 22:55, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

- @Dirtlawyer1: thank you very much. May yours be joyful as well. Though, they're saying it'll be around 70 tomorrow so I doubt it'll be very snowy. lmao. CrashUnderride 11:50, 24 December 2015 (UTC)

- @Dirtlawyer1: Lol, I'm in West Virginia and we usually have at least some snow. We had a small bit the other day. But that's been it. lol CrashUnderride 18:35, 24 December 2015 (UTC)

rollback
Hi Crash Underride. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Katietalk 15:33, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
