More types of bonds for your collection

I have finally fully populated this category that you created and fixed up quite a bit of nonsense while doing so. Now we just need the redlinks made into articles -:) --Bduke 01:03, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request unprotect

Hi HappyCamper, a few weeks ago you protected my user and talk pages for me because of problems with persistent socks. I'd like you to unprotect them if you think it's safe to do so. If you think it would be better to wait a bit longer, that's fine too. Thanks again for all your help. --Bongwarrior 20:57, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Survey Request: VT massacre article

Hi, I am a professor at Boston College studying the development of the Wikipedia page on the Virginia Tech massacre. You were one of the top 5% of editors to the page, and I was wondering if you would be willing to answer a brief survey about your participation.

Your participation will help me (and hopefully the Wikipedia community) better understand the collaborative process that results in exemplary articles. If you do not wish to participate and this solicitation was unwelcome, please accept my apologies and simply delete this message from your talk page. I will not contact you again.

Admin User:Chick Bowen afd close issues

How can an admin close an article at 14 keep / 11 delete at consensus: "delete"? In any event, please help us to restore this article at Deletion Review: Aug 13, 2007. I didn’t even know this happened, it was closed at 14 keeps and 11 deletes; with admins reopening and closing the article on an alternating basis, e.g. see the deletion log history. In this edition:

  • News & Notes New wine members, maps wanted, fame at last
  • Sub Projects Updates on Operation Stub Killer
  • Wiki-Winos Why port is poison and a special night in Chinon - this issue features your stand-in editor, FlagSteward.

If you have any Wikipedia wine related news, announcements or suggestions drop a note in the Comments/Suggestion area of Wikipedia:WikiProject Wine/Newsletter.

Apologies to everyone for this notification being sent out so late, events in real life prevented me from distributing it at the time, and the Wine Project's had a bit of a lull during the Northern Hemsiphere summer. But as the nights draw in, activity should pick up again, and hopefully the next Newsletter will arrive a little more quickly....

The next few weeks are the perfect time to take photos of grapes in the Northern Hemisphere - get your cameras out! FlagSteward 15:58, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help, Ive fallen and cant get up

How ya doin Happy. Im back online after a long break. Anyway, I need a second pair of eyes. I would like to rescue/cleanup the article on Symmetric_multiprocessing. Besides a reordering of sections, (which I am learning how to do...where should I start? The IBM Article I am going to add, basically is extrodinary. Its orginization follows exactly how I would orginize it. Talk back at me. Artoftransformation 08:29, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New devilry...

I thought you as an Admin might be interested in this. The thing is obviously not a bot, and obviously not interested in helping Wikipedia. It seems much more interested in intimidating me. I believe it to be another sockpuppet account of User:Vinylmesh (which itself is a front for the same person whose sole purpose on Wikipedia has in the past been to vandalize my user page). The same person has admitted elsewhere to have created User:Fannyphlegm via a social networking website (I can show you reasonable evidence, if you like). I have little evidence of User:Vinylmesh engaging in vandalistic activities himself, but he doesn't seem to be active anymore. elvenscout742 17:25, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wine Project activity

This is a friendly note to let you know that you have been moved to the Inactive members page of the Wine Project. Users are moved to this page when two months have passed without any Wikipedia activity or 3 months have passed without any contribution to a wine related article. The intent of the Participant list is to function as a resource for other editors wishing to get in contact with wine project members for comments or question on Wikipedia's wine article. The goal of this process is to try and maintain the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wine/Participants as current and up to date as possible with active and contributing members. Please note that this is not intended to be a negative reflection on your Wikipedia or wine related contribution and it is well known that sometimes outside life can take editors away from Wikipedia for some time. You will always be welcomed to rejoined the Wine Project should you feel that the time is right. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk or on the Wine Project talk page. Best wishes. AgneCheese/Wine 18:40, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mentoring Opportunity

Hi Happycomper, I noticed at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Classroom_coordination that you enjoy mentoring Academics newly arrived at Wikipedia until they are comfortable with the environment. A similar activity is attempting to startup at http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Wikiversity:School_and_university_projects. So I thought I would extend to you an engraved invitation to help out if you wish to explore Wikiversity as a viable place to contribute to the formation of the emerging free knowledge commons online. mikeu is currently participating with the effort to improve our orientation for arriving academics if you have any questions. Obviously I am also available. Reach me at v:user:mirwin The Colloquium[1] is a good place to reach other knowledgeable participants, including custodians. Or the #wikiversity-en IRC channel at Freenode[2] Thanks for your contribution to Wikipedia's success and community growth! Lazyquasar (talk) 16:40, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hitchhiker's Guide Theme Notation

Hello, Happycamper I noticed here ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reference_desk_archive/July_2005_II ) that you might work chords for the HHGTG theme "Journey of the Sorcerer". I am incapable of doing it, but would love to play that song. Did you ever get around to working it out for piano? Love to hear from you. Thanks! —Thomas Thomaszairuishi (talk) 07:48, 21 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.78.42.179 (talk) 07:42, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I never did...nobody gave me a link to a site where I can hear the music! Do you have one?--HappyCamper 16:49, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely! You can listen/download here. http://hhgttg.thibbard.fastmail.fm/ How will you do it? I am very excited about this. You've got my endless thanks even at this preliminary stage. —Thomas Thomaszairuishi (talk) 00:40, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Link doesn't work for me...maybe something else on youtube say? --HappyCamper 03:27, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why that link doesn't work for you..I also cannot get youtube to work for me. I can email it to you, it's just a .mov file (about 4 meg). Sometimes people don't want to post an email address online. I understand that. You can send me a message here thibbar@luc.edu and I'll give you the file that way. I'm sorry this is turning out to be so complicated... Thomas. Also, maybe this direct link to the music will work for you. http://www.hhgttg.thibbard.fastmail.fm/hitchhikers_guide_to_the_galaxy_theme.mov Many thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thomaszairuishi (talkcontribs) 12:53, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seems the replacement is not having a template at all. --MZMcBride (talk) 04:08, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article Rescue Contest revival

There is a discussion ongoing at Wikipedia talk:Article Rescue Squadron about reviving the Wikipedia:Article rescue contest. I noticed you were listed as one of the judges, I would appreciate it very much if you would lend your experience to the discussion. -- RoninBK T C 15:07, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Acetic acid

I was wondering if someone (you) could add some points on concentration of diluted acid? E.g. hydrogen peroxide is very dangerous to try to distill to a higher concentration. Nitric acid is azeotrope at 68% in water, etc. It would be interesting to add a sentence or two about tho possibilities or dangers of distilling it. Thanks /IC —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ivana Charos (talkcontribs) 10:33, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm...it would be interesting, but I don't know too much about this off hand. --HappyCamper 03:49, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would Template:Statistical mechanics topics be more useful as a navbox (like {{Statistics}})? I'm willing to do the conversion, but didn't want to make the changes without asking you first. Regards—G716 <T·C> 11:39, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at the current version. Can you fix the redlinks? Let me know when you're done - I'll deploy using WP:AWBG716 <T·C> 03:00, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Electronics collaboration

Hi, I am writing to you because you have listed yourself as a member of the Electronics WikiProject. Sadly, this project is pretty dead, but I propose to resuscitate it with a collaboration. The idea is to have a concerted effort on improving one article per month, hopefully to GA or FA status and nominate the very best of them for the front page. I have prepared a page to control this process at Wikipedia:WikiProject Electronics/Collaboration (actually, I mostly shamelessly stole it from Wikipedia:WikiProject Mammals where a collaboration of this sort was succesfully run). There you can make nominations for articles for collaboration or comment on the nominations of others.

If you want to take part you might like to place this template {{WikiProject Electronics Collaboration}} on your userpage which will give you a link to the current collaboration. If you are no longer interested in Wikiproject Electronics, please remove yourself from the members list, which is now at Wikipedia:WikiProject Electronics/Members

Thanks for listening, SpinningSpark 14:23, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
