::Again, I'm happy if I have been of any assistance. It has certainly turned into a much more complicated conversation than I expected when I first arrived from Third Opinion. Maybe that's why it wasn't taken for so long. :D In any event, it seems that wider involvement is a good thing, so I'm glad that the Village Pump question seems to have brought fresh insight. I had no idea that articles on this topic were so disputed. --[[User:Moonriddengirl|Moonriddengirl]] 12:51, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Kaunas Fortress

The article Kaunas Fortress you nominated as a good article has passed , see Talk:Kaunas Fortress for eventual comments about the article. Well done! Hersfold (talk/work) 14:22, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats! Keep it up :) Renata 17:19, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I do my best. M.K. 09:52, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Laikinas

Welcome back and I will see what I can do over the weekend. Consider archiving the above discussions.. your talk page is getting too long. Renata 16:42, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moved. I think that section (the quote) is ok, I would not remove it. Renata 19:59, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to the above - I read through the re-write of the article I started. I do like it very much and I want to thank you for your work. I did made some minor editing changes. IMHO, an article on The World Lithuanian Community should not give the impression that it is principally concerned with the Lithuanians in the USA - it is a World community, after all. I think that in the fullness of time there will be articles about the individual Lithuanian communities in different countries, since each has evolved somewhat differently from the others as each one merged with the local culture, enriching it and in part adopting it. As a really old man that has been actively involved in the Lithuanian Community of Australia I am acutely aware of the differences of it and other Lithuanian Communities. OldAl 2007-07-26

Watchdog group and copyediting

Hi MK, hope you are well. The watchdog group - is this the one that is referenced at [1], [2] and [3], and the article that is critical of Kurier Willenski is maybe this [4]?

I have a little more free time than usual just now, so if you have any articles for copyediting, I would be more than happy to do so. Novickas 17:10, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

DYK

Updated DYK query On August 9, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Lithuanian World Community, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Congratulations! Novickas 15:10, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
BTW, may I nominate this for a DYK too? Next week maybe? Novickas 15:58, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

The above case is closed. A general amnesty for editors involved in Eastern Europe-related articles is extended, with the expectation that further editing will adhere to Wikipedia's policies. Future behavior problems may be addressed by the Arbitration Committee on the motion of any Arbitrator or upon acceptance of a request for inquiry by any user who edits in this area. For the Arbitration Committee, Picaroon (t) 19:09, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Potential DYKs

I'll copyedit the Kazys Lozoraitis article, but I think the signatories article has much "punch" as a DYK. Later, Novickas 15:43, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm worried that they will think it's too much LT in the DYK recently, but will nominate it anyway. CP of castle soon. Novickas 22:42, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New template

Maybe you'll have some ideas to improve this [5].--Lokyz 22:41, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting DYK nomination, but is currently contested - for reasons somewhat unclear to me - for the lack of inline citations. --Camptown 08:56, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MK, I think this article is approaching GA status, what do you think? Novickas 14:33, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you agree. I'm just thinking that I should also, per GA review talk, offer some help in reviewing/improving some other nomination, and want to shop around. So hopefully soon, altho my PC seems to have gotten a virus, or some malware, that messes up my typing...varkšukas, it will probably need to go to the PC King's clinic. Also thanks for the Vaizgantas DYK nom, pleasant surprise, even tho I really only CEd it. Novickas 00:46, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lithuania-noble-stub

Hi M.K.

Thanks for your post. Once a template has been approved by WP:WSS/P everybody is free to create it. I've already done it, see: {{Lithuania-noble-stub}}. If this material reaches the threshold of 60 stub articles, it would make sense to give it a category of its own, in that case please drop a note to WP:WSS/P. Once the material reaches the size threshold, everybody will no doubt support such a category, but using the WP:WSS/P procedure is a way of ensuring that such a category will be included in the appropriate lists. Happy editing. Valentinian T / C 22:08, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar issues

I appreciate a wealth of your current additions to the English Wikipedia. Nevertheless, I would like to advise you to pay more attention to subject-verb order in English sentences, that is not to be transferred directly from Lithuanian, as well as the use of definite and indefinite articles, that are often missed in your articles. That would help the editors and readers or your articles. You can see what I mean by inspecting my changes of Vileišis Palace article. Keep up the good work! Iulius 09:26, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wold you please take a look to the page - i's a disaster right no. And psssh- don't tell anoyone:)--Lokyz 20:54, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

source

OK, let's clarify, just what source it is that you a/ want restored (and why) and b/ think should not be restored. (and why, besides that it's anti-Semitic). (and in which of the two articles). From the articles, I saw no indication that this particular event involves anti-Semitism. If the Jews were being specifically attacked, you might want to clarify that. As you know, admins invariably protect the wrong version. 03:14, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

FL Main page proposal

You either nominated a WP:FLC or closed such a nomination recently. As such, you are the type of editor whose opinion I am soliciting. We now have over 400 featured lists and seem to be promoting in excess of 30 per month of late (41 in August and 42 in September). When Today's featured article (TFA) started (2004-02-22), they only had about 200 featured articles and were barely promoting 20 new ones per month. I think the quality of featured lists is at least as good as the quality of featured articles was when they started appearing on the main page. Thus, I am ready to open debate on a proposal to institute a List of the Day on the main page with nominations starting November 1 2007, voting starting December 1 2007 and main page appearances starting January 1 2008. For brevity, the proposal page does not discuss the details of eventual main page content, but since the work has already been done, you should consider this proposal assuming the eventual content will resemble the current content at the featured content page. Such output would probably start at the bottom of the main page. The proposal page does not debate whether starting with weekly list main page entries would be better than daily entries. However, I suspect persons in favor of weekly lists are really voicing opinions against lists on the main page since neither TFA nor Picture of the day started as weekly endeavors, to the best of my knowledge. See the List of the Day proposal and comment at WP:LOTDP and its talk page.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 19:50, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm happy if I've been of assistance. :) I've got the question at village pump (policy) now, since nobody's yet responded at WP:V. Let's hope we can figure out what's intended by the policy and clarify it so that it doesn't cause any further confusion. --Moonriddengirl 13:19, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There has now been response at Village Pump, and I've reported on it at Sejny's talk page. :) --Moonriddengirl 21:21, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Again, I'm happy if I have been of any assistance.
