License tagging for Image:Sv. atanasij.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Sv. atanasij.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:13, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Zname.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Zname.JPG. The copy called Image:Zname.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Welcome

Welcome to the English Wikipedia. To find out how to make useful contributions, take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. Follow the links below to learn more:

Notability of MacedonianBoy

A tag has been placed on MacedonianBoy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 18:41, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have tagged your article MacedonianBoy for deletion, because it seems to be about you yourself, and we do not encourage autobiography, that is, writing articles about oneself. There is no problem in putting information about yourself on your user page. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 18:45, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't remove speedy-deletion tags

You are entitled to challenge the speedy deletion; if you want to do that, put {{hangon}} on the page immediately under the {{db}} tag, and put your reasons on the article's talk page. The administrators will read what you say before they decide. But you should not remove the speedy deletion tag. JohnCD (talk) 18:50, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • hello! what is the problem with my page?????? MacedonianBoy
  • The first problem is that you are not notable, that is, important enough to be the subject of an article. Read the guidelines on Notability and Notability (people) to understand what is needed for an article about a person. The second problem is that we don't like people to write about themselves - see the guideline on Autobiography. The best way for you to find out how to make acceptable articles would be to read the Introduction and the Guide to creating your first article, and work through the Tutorial. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:25, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • First of all, I have not made an article about me and I do not want to make an article about me. All I have done is creating an account on the English Wikipedia and that is all. I have my own account on the Macedonian Wikipedia and I did not have problems about it. I really do not understand, maybe it is a mistake, instead of creating an account as a new user of the English Wikipedia, I have made an article. Maybe it is possible I don't know..... honestly. On my account page I have only one sentence, and if it is a problem I will erase it and I will not use the English Wikipedia account at all if I am the problem here.
  • No, there is no problem with your account or your user page, it is perfectly OK to put something about yourself there. But although you didn't mean to, you also created an article called MacedonianBoy, with the same information in it. For the reasons I have explained, we didn't want that, and it has been deleted. End of problem. Welcome to the English Wikipedia, and please continue to edit here. Read the introduction pages I listed above, and leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions.
One more piece of advice: when you leave a message on a talk page, it is a good thing to sign it by putting four "tilde" ~ characters ~~~~ at the end. The system automatically turns them into your username plus the date and time - like this: JohnCD (talk) 20:48, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of ABECEDAR

A tag has been placed on ABECEDAR requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. <3 bunny 19:26, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello MacedonianBoy, welcome from me too, but please do look at our policies on neutral point of view and verifiability. You really need to avoid writing your own opinions in articles. Also, it's very important that you learn about our Wikipedia:Image use policy. I see you've had several images deleted because they weren't free or not correctly marked. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. Thanks, Fut.Perf. 12:24, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

HI, I did not write my own opinion. I have retold briefly the text about the History of Abecedar from the same book and from History books here in Macedonia. So I know about that policy and I wnted just to tell about the importance about that book, because it is important as it is Magna Carta in Britain. I did not want to speak or wrote about the Greek policy at all, so I think it is based on analysis and fact from Macedonia and Greece. All of them are historical fact, I do not make my own. Thanks for the greetings MacedonianBoy 14:30, 11.02.2008

Please keep in mind that you can only license this as your own self-made work if you actually drew it yourself. Did you? Sorry, but I doubt it. Please clarify. Fut.Perf. 12:30, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No I dodnt draw it, I took picture of it. MacedonianBoy 14:30, 11.02.2008
You mean , you took a photograph of a drawing, right? It's obviously not a photograph of a real person? Fut.Perf. 14:18, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course I took a picture of a photography. It is obvious...MacedonianBoy 15:30, 11.02.2008
Okay, thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately that means I have to delete it, because the copyright is not yours. Hope you'll understand. Fut.Perf. 14:30, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I dont care
Ich bitte Sie,tun Sie das bild zurück. Ich habe das bild selbs gemacht. Dieses bild ist auch in mazedonische version an Wiki.
    • No, as you said, you took a photograph of another photograph (or drawing, or whatever). That doesn't count as self-made. The copyright belongs to the person who made the original image. Therefore, yours is a copyright violation. Moreover, for this you get a final warning against making personal attacks on other users. Fut.Perf. 14:59, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can't use this image, period. If you want an image of some traditional national costume from that place, get the garb, get your girlfriend or your granny to wear it for you and take a photograph of her. And stop calling Bulgarian fellow Wikipedians Tatars. Fut.Perf. 15:14, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why not Tatars?

User page

Sorry, but could you please remove that flag from the floating position in the left sidebar of your userpage? It's rather annoying because it covers important user interface links that somebody might want to click while on your page. Thanks, Fut.Perf. 22:06, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No way. You can edit and give proposals about your page not for mine....sorry! MacedonianBoy 11:11 pm 12.02.2008

I have put it beneath the text, so now it will not bother you. MacedonianBoy 11:11 pm 12.02.2008

Yeah, thanks, much appreciated. No problem with it there. Fut.Perf. 22:15, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I thought you have problems with the flag, which should not! Ok...MacedonianBoy 11:17 pm 12.02.2008
Heh, yeah, we sometimes get some of the more hot-headed Greek contributors becoming upset about that and asking for removal. No worries. Fut.Perf. 06:43, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 22:28, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
