:::: [[User:Deepfriedokra|-- Deepfriedokra]] or [[User:331dot|331dot]] could you please withdraw the request? After some consideration, that user is right about trying different things. I am still super young and have a whole life ahead of me. I shouldn’t be wasting it trying to get unblocked when I know in the end it is not gonna happen. It is also kind of inconsistent when the Standard Offer says that people should edit on other projects without any problems would help my case, yet editors are using that against me saying I did bad edits. Maybe you should warn others in my situation in the future that editing on other wikis for over six months with no problems won’t work so they don’t waste their time and bad about it. It also seems that most of the editors that opposed were users who had problems with me in the past. It’s sad that people still hold grudges against someone years later. It stated in the standard offer that it was encouraged to work on other projects with no trouble. Did that on Simple Wiki and Wikimedia Commons. And having to wait another year?! I feel like I would be wasting my time as all these editors who had problems with me in the past are still opposing me from coming back all these years later. These were mistakes I made when I was a literal child. I am perplexed on how unwelcoming and negative this community is. Request reason:

I just got out of therapy and feel fantastic! My parents, who are both doctors, have been keeping an eye on me. They both concurred that I have changed significantly and I don't really have a propensity to repeatedly perform the same activities. I have high hopes for this information because I think I'd be ready to return to Wikipedia after a year or more! Nearly a year has passed since I have been banned. I started uploading rapper mug pictures in August 2021 and never stopped. People warned me repeatedly to quit, but I disregarded them and carried on. Another incident that led to my ban concerned activities that took place in 2019, when I was 16 years old. Despite editors' requests that I refrain from doing so, I frequently posted false Beatles covers to articles. I disregarded their advice and kept acting carelessly. After that, instead of trying to stay away from Wikipedia while I was banned, I frequently engaged in Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry, initially by using the accounts user:TheCleanestBestPleasure and user:Beatlesfan210. I also used a variety of different IP addresses. I was unable to contain myself because I missed updating Wikipedia so much. I have lied to several editors on Wikipedia during my tenure there as well. I was a horrible human being back then. On a positive note, I started to edit the To Catch a Preadtor wiki and the primary admin promoted me to the positions of Bureaucrat and Content Moderator - https://to-catch-a-predator.fandom.com/wiki/User:OhCawd - It's my responsibility to prevent vandalism, POV, or the posting of memes about these child predators on any of the articles. If my account was unblocked, I would look for guidance from seasoned editors I have spoken to or collaborated with in the past. I apologize deeply for what led to my ban.

Decline reason:

You've been correctly informed already: "You are not eligible for consideration of your block until October 21, 2022." That stands (unless more recent evidence of your socking shows up.) I strongly suggest you step away until then. Your therapy is your own business, not ours. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 20:20, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It has been nearly a year since I was banned from Wikipedia. Starting in August 2021, I continued to upload rapper mugshots without stopping. I received numerous warnings from people to stop, but ignored them and continued to do it. Another instance that resulted in my ban involved events that occurred when I was 16 years old in 2019. I posted countless fake Beatles covers to articles despite editors' warnings not to do so. I didn't listen to them and continued my reckless behavior. I was only recently diagnosed with Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which I now realize was a huge factor that contributed to my disruptive and repetitive behavior that lead to my ban. Subsequently, rather than making an effort to avoid using Wikipedia while I was suspended, I repeatedly engaged in Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry, first by using the accounts user:TheCleanestBestPleasure and user:Beatlesfan210, and then by using a variety of different IP addresses. I really missed editing Wikipedia so much that I lost all self-control. During my time on Wikipedia, I have also lied to a number of editors. Back then, I was a terrible person. To get around the system, I would pretend to be at school even if I wasn't. During my time of Wiki, I completed my freshman year of college and began my sophomore year last month. I completed a variety of classes that helped me broaden my vocabulary and improve my conversational abilities. I made a lot of mistakes on Wikipedia, but I also did a lot of good. I have improved and created over fifty articles to Good Article status. I would be in support of a TBAN to not upload any images of any kind for a year. If my account was unblock, I would finish updating Pop Smoke's remaining Wikipedia music articles to Good Article Status, start editing video game articles like Five Nights at Freddy's, and seek mentorship from experienced editors who I have contacted or worked with in the past. I am very sorry for what caused my ban. If I could have controlled my serious urgencies and tendencies back then, I would still be editing and not banned. I am now going to start attending therapy so I could get help with my problems that have led me to get me banned from what I loved doing for many years.

They both concurred that I have changed significantly and I don't really have a propensity to repeatedly perform the same activities. I have high hopes for this information because I think I'd be ready to return to Wikipedia after a year or more! On the plus side, I started editing the To Catch a Predator wiki and created multiple articles of the people caught in the show. Nearly a year has passed since I have been banned. I started uploading rapper mug pictures in August 2021 and never stopped. People warned me repeatedly to quit, but I disregarded them and carried on. Since my year off Wiki, many of my friends have departed our home state to serve as Mormon missionaries for two years. Recently, another of my very close pals moved for California, which saddened me greatly because we were such close friends. I recently completed all of my summer courses with A's. In less than three weeks, I will begin the fall semester of my second year of college by taking seven classes. I'm going to try to finish my associate's degree by the end of the year. If my account was unblocked, I would complete converting all of Pop Smoke's Wikipedia entries to Good Article Status, begin working on pages like To Catch a Predator, and look for guidance from seasoned editors I have spoken to or collaborated with in the past. I apologize deeply for what led to my ban. Back then, if I could have reined in my severe urges and proclivities, I'd still be editing instead of being banned. Decline reason:

Procedural decline - unblock discussion needs to occur at WP:AN due to the nature of the community ban. The unblock request would not be accepted in any case as it doesn't fully address the issues surrounding the ban and fails to explain what changes in behaviour will occur to make unblocking a low risk option for the community. Since I was banned, over a year has passed. My uploading of rapper mug shots, which I started doing in August 2021, is what got me banned. I was frequently advised to stop, but I chose to ignore the warnings and continued. Another incident that resulted in my ban involved something I did in 2019, when I was only 16 years old. I frequently added fake Beatles covers to articles, despite editors' instructions that I not do so. I disregarded their warnings and persisted in my irresponsible behavior. After I was banned, instead of taking time off to do other things, I frequently engaged in Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry, originally using the accounts user:TheCleanestBestPleasure and user:Beatlesfan210. I also utilized a wide range of various IP addresses. During my time editing Wikipedia, I also took the lead in argumentative disputes with a number of other editors. I couldn't manage my emotions because I was a high school student going through a difficult time. I would use extremely cruel and derogatory language that I shouldn't have have spoken in the first place. I deeply regret the things I did in the past and wish I could do them all over again today. I was a young boy, and I frequently let my emotions rule my behavior. I am almost 20 and have matured way more during my first year in college. On the plus side, the main admin of the To Catch a Predator wiki advanced me to the roles of bureaucrat and content moderator - https://to-catch-a-predator.fandom.com/wiki/User:OhCawd - when I began editing the wiki. The removal of vandalism, POV, and the posting of memes regarding these child predators on any of the articles is my responsibility. Oldies Lover (talk) 22:41, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've made this a CheckUser block and revoked your talk page access. As I've already said, you have been evading your block, which is a disqualification for the standard offer. Once you go six months without any IP block evasion or sock puppetry, you can make an unblock via WP:UTRS, and anyone can restore you talk page access. By my calculation, this would be December 2022. I don't like doing this "I'm pulling my weight as a CU" thing, but you're forcing my hand. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 20:27, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Standard Offer

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Shoot for the Stars (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am writing to request an appeal of my ban that was imposed in August of 2021. I was 18 years old and had been uploading low-quality photos. This behavior ultimately led to my ban from Wikipedia. I acknowledge that I was frequently advised to stop, but I chose to ignore the warnings and continued my actions, which resulted in my block. In addition, another incident that resulted in my ban involved something I did back in 2019, when I was only 16 years old. At that time, I frequently added fake Beatles covers to articles despite editors' instructions that I do not do so. I disregarded their warnings and persisted in my irresponsible behavior. After I was banned, instead of taking time off to do other things, I was deceitful and frequently engaged in Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry, originally using the accounts user:TheCleanestBestPleasure and user:Beatlesfan210. I also utilized a wide range of various IP addresses. In September 2022, I was not aware that I had engaged in sockpuppetry and believed that I was able to request a standard offer (SO) in good faith. I now understand that my actions were inappropriate and have since learned more about Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I also want to mentioned that I was diagnosed with OCD and have been struggling with urges related to staying away from certain websites, including Wikipedia. While I recognize that this does not excuse my behavior, it does help explain why I have kept coming back to the site.

I want to emphasize that I did not have any malicious intent and did not intend to violate any of Wikipedia's rules. I am a passionate supporter of Wikipedia and deeply regret any harm that my actions may have caused to the community. Since my account was banned, I have taken steps to educate myself about Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and I have stayed away from the site for over six months. I am eager to return to the community and make meaningful contributions. Since my ban, I have gone to therapy since October 2022, which has helped me to better manage my OCD and behavior. And for over six months, I have been editing at Simple English Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, making positive contributions like creating new articles, working with the community on stuff like article deletions, and uploading pictures with the right licenses. My vocabulary has also improved tremendously since starting college, and I feel that it could benefit my contributions to Wikipedia, especially with my new interest in law and crime articles. I realize that my past behavior was unacceptable and violated Wikipedia's policies. However, I am deeply remorseful for my actions and am committed to making positive contributions to the community. I want to prove that I can continue to contribute to Wikipedia in a responsible and productive manner.
