"Where Are Ü Now" is the second single from Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü, the debut studio album by dance duo Jack Ü, known individually as Skrillex and Diplo on their respective labels OWSLA and Mad Decent. The song, which features vocals from Canadian singer Justin Bieber, was released simultaneously with the album on 27 February 2015, becoming a sleeper hit on international charts.

The track has peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving both Skrillex and Diplo their first top 40 hit on the chart. Internationally, the song has peaked within the top ten of the charts in Australia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, New Zealand, Scotland and the United Kingdom, as well as the top twenty of the charts in the Czech Republic, Norway, Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovakia and in Bieber's native Canada. Moreover, the track is Bieber's first top-ten single on the UK Singles Chart since number two peaking "Boyfriend", released in 2012.

Background

Justin Bieber recorded the track as a stripped piano ballad produced by Poo Bear, but later decided to send it to Skrillex and Diplo, also known as Jack Ü, to rework it into the track which was later added to their album, titled Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü.[1]

Live performances

Justin Bieber performed the song with Skrillex and Diplo for the first time at the 2015 Ultra Music Festival. Justin Bieber later performed the song again at The Honeymoon Tour. He then performed the song once again at the 2015 Wango Tango.

Music video
