April 19

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on April 19, 2024.

I'm sorry Dave

Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:

We have successfully kicked the can down the road with this one. Months later, no mention of this quotation from the movie. If it's as important as claimed, it would either A: have its own article, B: be covered SOMEwhere, or C: be a red link to encourage content creation wherever it makes sense to do so. As it stands, A and B are off the table (or at least not yet done), and with nothing on Wikipedia about this quote, this is still not a helpful redirect. La, la

Retarget to La La, where La la and the lowercase la la also target. This was supposedly the title of an unreleased Madonna song (but the title is incorrect, and the song is actually called "Pala Tute"). Regardless, it's still ambiguous with other "La la" titles and should target the dab instead. CycloneYoris talk! 04:27, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was up above it

No mention of this lyric at the target. People that search for this lyric do not receive any pertinent content, especially when it's easy enough to find the name of the actual song. Wikipedia is not a lyric compendium. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:59, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I See You (Kap G song)

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. Song mentioned at article now. (non-admin closure) Utopes (talk / cont) 05:21, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of this song on Wikipedia. This is not a useful redirect for people that would like to read about this song and get nothing in return. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:58, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. There is now, I've inserted one. No mention of this song on Wikipedia. Untrue. Even if it wasn't mentioned at Kap G, it was already mentioned at Chris Brown discography. Ss112 05:15, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The above is preserved as an archive of the discussion. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review).

I just farted

Proud of you for saying something so bold, but this is not a useful redirect in its current form. Used to target 9gag, not mentioned there either. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:57, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have a bad feeling about this

Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:

A quote not mentioned at the target article. It was suggested at a past RfD that this is a significant quote that people have wrote about externally. Great! It should remain as a red link to encourage article creation, or cited in the page if viable. In the meantime, for the last X years we have had zero content about this quote, so there doesn't need to be a redirect if we don't have anything further to say besides "it exists". People who make the conscious decision to type this instead of "Star Wars" are looking for something related to this, and we don't have it. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:55, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I Beheld His Glory

A TV episode for a program not on Wikipedia, and not discussed at the hosting show article either. Not currently a helpful redirect for people interested in this topic, as it would otherwise not exist for people that read the target. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:53, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hubert’s Lemonade

Neither "Hubert" nor, surprisingly, "Lemonade" comes up at the target article. Seems to be a brand of lemonade owned by Coca-Cola, but targeting this specific brand to the overarching company is not useful for people looking for Hubert's Lemonade. If people wanted to read about the Coca Cola company instead, they'd just search for the Coca Cola company directly. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:50, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Horse News

This redirect survived CSD through a charitable BLAR. Not mentioned at the target, not likely to be mentioned at the target. Not a useful redirect in the page's current form. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:48, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. This was/is a site run by 4chan's /mlp/ board as an alternative to Equestria Daily. Break that down-- this is a fansite run by a subsection of the MLP fandom because the main, more-notable site used by the rest of the fandom didn't conform to that subsection's views (because... it's 4chan.) I challenge ANYONE to find a credible secondary source for this, which would be required to mention it on any of the possible non-mention targets of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fandom, Equestria Daily, or 4chan#/mlp/. Send it to the moon. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 10:56, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

King Karlomann

This misspelling is unique to Wikipedia, Google does not know about it. Delete. Викидим (talk) 00:14, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete two errors so unlikely misspelling --Lenticel (talk) 00:20, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above as an unlikely search term. InterstellarGamer12321 (talk | contribs) 13:00, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Carloman, a disambiguation page listing the many kings of the Franks known by the same name. The Franks spoke a Germanic language in which the kings were called Karlmann, and it's also written in Latin as Karlomanus; Karlomann is a plausible misspelling of both. Hold On To This

No song with this name appears at the target page, NOR does it appear at Jake Miller discography either, although a "Hold On" does appear at the discography... Without a disambiguator here though this is already a fairly vague term. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:46, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hitler Reacts (Internet meme)

The word "react" does not appear in any form at the target article, nor are Hitler's reactions ever alluded to. Does not seem helpful as effectively an "R from unmentioned, related meme term to Internet section" Utopes (talk / cont) 03:45, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Highnoon

R from merge that does not seem to be mentioned at the target any longer. Confusable with High Noon as is, but as an R from merge perhaps there's a deeper noteworthy-ness of the missing space... Utopes (talk / cont) 03:43, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Heaven’s Gate (AJ Mitchell song)

No song with either of these names is discussed at the target article; nothing present for people searching for this song, only to be given a page with zero relevant information. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:37, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

HDIV

Apparently HDIV is now a part of Datadog. However, this framework is never mentioned anywhere at the target article. This undone PROD seems to be either suited for a standalone article (hard as there were no references previously), or no article at all. The status quo of retargeting this to the parent of Datadog does not seem helpful for people searching for this term to find out what HDIV means perhaps, and not having any content at the target to answer these questions. Utopes (talk / cont) 03:36, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Heavytread

No mention of a heavytread, and could seemingly be confused with other treads. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:59, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Heartbroken (Hrvy song)

No mention of a song called "Heartbroken" at the target article. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:59, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Harmonious Claptrap

No mention of a harmonious claptrap at the target, creator blocked for disruptive editing. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:58, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

https://heavy.com/entertainment/2019/11/dan-harmon-harmonious-vanity-card-new/
Only marginally useful proof I could find about this, might not be substantial enough to ensure the redirect's existence. MimirIsSmart (talk) 09:23, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Halo 1 pistol

According to the halo wiki, there are "many different pistols used in the Halo universe". I don't think this is a useful search term, zero evidence that "Halo 1 pistol" is an alternate name for this pistol even if used by Master Chief. Wikipedia is not a search engine to figure out "what's the name of the pistol that Master Chief uses in Halo 1". Not a great precedent for titles, i.e. based on MOS:POPCULT, and franchises that reference a real model of pistol. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:56, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Halo 1 also has the Plasma Pistol, making this an inaccurate term. It's generally referred to as the "magnum" to differentiate it. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 05:04, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Half-holing

No mention of "half" or "holing" at the target article. Through my own experience I'm fairly sure this is meant to indicate "putting your finger over half of a hole on a wind instrument", but the fact of the matter is that this technique doesn't come up at the target, so people who look this up will not be given the content they were seeking with this search term. Wanting to learn about fingering as a whole, they'd just search for the base article without having to use this particular terminology. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:52, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Halahel

Not mentioned at target. Was a remnant of an R2 that was retarget to avoid deletion, after the base page was moved (and later eventually deleted) at Draft:Halahel. Not useful without any context as to what Halahel is. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:49, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

OperaMail.com

Neither Opera mail nor "OperaMail" are mentioned at the target, much less its supposed .com domain. This domain currently exists on the web as a redirect to opera dot com, and as for Wikipedia, without a mention of operamail this does not seem to be the most helpful currently. (Even if it's a mail site that was acquired by Opera from 2010 to 2013. Notably, this redirect was created in 2011 when the "opera" description was accurate, but Fastmail became independent again very shortly after and has been so for the last decade.) Utopes (talk / cont) 01:38, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Open Floor

No information about "Open Floor" at the target, which is noted in the edit history as being an "entirely different school than 5Rhythms". Was blanked for a moment in 2021, but was restored as a redirect due to no content being added. In any case, this title is ambiguous with Open floor plan which is a redirect to the article of Open plan, who's content is directly pertinent to open floors. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:34, 19 April 2024 (UTC) Open Floor is a style of modern dance, as is 5Rhythms. The two are not the same so the redirect (from a dance point of view) should go to Modern dance, with a brief mention of the approach to be added there. Chiswick Chap (talk) 06:55, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Open Access Directory

No mention of anything being "open access", or a "directory" at the target page. Currently, this redirect is not helpful as people who might be looking for this directory are instead taken to information about the university instead of information about the directory that they specified. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:30, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Most of the incoming links are not related to the university, suggesting there is an opportunity to create a new article here. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 02:11, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

One World (imprint)

No mention of this imprint at the target article, anyone specifying this would not receive any content about their search term. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:29, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There's 7 mainspace links sans the dab page, only in refs and infoboxes. Why couldn't these be replaced with piped links instead? Seven isn't several unless one is David Jelinsky, so it shouldn't be too bad to replace, and doesn't seem to be the end-all-be-all for keeping or deleting. For anyone that actually is searching for the imprint specifically, we have nothing for, so the existence of links can be avoided by linking to the main Random House article, allowing to prioritize useful redirects that are able to actually provide aid to readers. (There also might be a discrepancy with Oneworld Publications, but the link is unclear to me. Utopes (talk / cont) 02:14, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Odiogo

Redirected to the history of podcasting after an AfD, because there was no sourced content worth merging. However, it doesn't appear at the target any longer, if it appeared to begin with if the merge idea fell through. Does not seem to be a useful redirect in the target's current form. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:18, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nutrient Recovery and Reuse

No mention of "Nutrient" at the target page. Was created as a redirect without mention at the target. Afterward, the creator proceeded to link this term in the See Also sections of high profile pages that had very stringent connections to the "Recovery and Reuse of Nutrients". Seems to be an effort to establish notoriety to this term, which appears nowhere on Wikipedia in an academic context, sans the randomly piped See Also mentions. Utopes (talk / cont) 01:16, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nonstop Sampler

No mention of Nonstop Sampler at the target discography, does not seem to be a likely search term without any content pertinent to it. Utopes (talk / cont) 00:59, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non-crypto Public Chain

No mentions of "non-crypto" or "public chain" appear at the target page for Blockchain. It's worth noting that the creator of this article-ish was blocked for WP:UPE later that year (2022). Utopes (talk / cont) 00:58, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nine to Noon

Neither nine nor noon are noted near this novella. Utopes (talk / cont) 00:54, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nights' Science

Similarly, not even "science" appears at the target article, and Nights has been established to not as well. Utopes (talk / cont) 00:51, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nights (program)

No mention of a program called "Nights" at the target article. Utopes (talk / cont) 00:51, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

NetApp FlexVol

This page came into existence as 300 bytes of unreferenced product description which was BLAR'd within a handful of minutes. "FlexVol" does not appear at the topic, and people specifying this product will receive no information about the subject. Utopes (talk / cont) 00:46, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Neohapantotype

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. Article has been reworked and referenced, including a mention to this term. (non-admin closure) Utopes (talk / cont) 04:06, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The section for "Hapantotype" exists as a single citationless sentence. This is the only mention of "Hapantotype". A variant that is specifically "neo" is not mentioned nor ever referred to at the target, as even the Hapantotype general section is lacking. Utopes (talk / cont) 00:44, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, Used in Protist specific literature when talking about type specimens. "Neo-" is a specific modifier for instances where the original type is lost and a new specimen is chosen for the species, and the specific term is used in a live wiki article already. Citation added to the section --Kevmin § 02:38, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Works for me, thanks for the inclusion! Utopes (talk / cont) 04:06, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Neb-er-tcher

Apparently a god in Egyptian mythology, however this god is not ever described at the Osiris article, and bears no mention. People who search this term are left confused as to the correlation between this god and Osiris. Utopes (talk / cont) 00:41, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. This redirect seems to be an error on the part of the creator (User:TUF-KAT, who last edited 15 years ago). A Google search for Neb-er-tcher turns up this page, an excerpt from Legends of the Gods (1912) by E. A. Wallis Budge, describing the creation myth found in Papyrus Bremner-Rhind. "Neb-er-tcher" is Budge's archaic transcription of a divine name meaning "Lord of the limit" or "Lord to the limit", which was generally an epithet of Atum, not Osiris. Budge doesn't identify this deity as Atum, but later sources universally do so (e.g.: Raymond O. Faulkner (1937), "The Bremner-Rhind Papyrus: III: D. The Book of Overthrowing ꜤApep" in The Journal of Egyptian Archaeology; James P. Allen (1988), Genesis in Egypt; Geraldine Pinch (2002), Egyptian Mythology).
The redirect obviously should not lead to Osiris, who isn't directly related to this deity. Nor should it be retargeted to Atum, because nobody refers to him by this obsolete transcription of his epithet. (Note the pageviews.) A. Parrot (talk) 05:19, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
