NBA professional basketball team season
The 2011–12 New Orleans Hornets season was the 10th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
During the lockout, the Hornets were dealt with a cruel blow, trading Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers . In their first season without their star playmaker, the Hornets finished the season with a mediocre 21-45 record. This led the team to drafting Anthony Davis from Kentucky with the first overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft .
