The 2016–17 Bangladesh Super League season was supposed to be the first season of the Bangladesh Super League, one of the top Bangladeshi professional football leagues, since its establishment in 2016. The tournament was expected to begin in November or December 2016 with eight franchises but because of lack of stadium and infrastructure it has been cancelled.[1]
