The 2017 Dafabet Scottish Open is a professional ranking snooker tournament that is taking place from 11 to 17 December 2017 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland.^[1] It is the twelfth ranking event of the 2017/2018 season.

Marco Fu is the defending champion, having beaten John Higgins 9–4 in the 2016 final.

Cao Yupeng made his first maximum break in the third frame of his first round match against Andrew Higginson. Cao will win the £20,000 "rolling 147 prize" and the £2,000 high break prize as long as there are no more maximums in the tournament. It was the 134th official maximum in professional competition.^[2]
