Pikes Creek is a rural locality in the Southern Downs Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2016 census, Pikes Creek had a population of 26 people.[1]

History

The locality was named after a pastoral run, transferred to Captain John Pike in 1852 along with Terica.[2]

Land in Pikes Creek was open for selection on 17 April 1877; 19 square miles (49 km2) were available in Pike's Creek and 9.5 square miles (25 km2) in Pike's Creek North.[3]

Pike Creek State School opened on 21 May 1973 and closed on 10 December 1976.[4]
