Chronic undermining burrowing ulcer is a cutaneous condition that is a postoperative, progressive bacterial gangrene.[1]: 269  It is seen in immunocompromised individuals, mostly after post abdominal surgery and rapidly spreads to involve a large area.[citation needed]
