The Mayor of Kaipara officiates over the Kaipara District of New Zealand's North Island.[1]

Sheep and beef farmer Jason Smith has been the mayor since a by-election in February 2018.[1][2]

He replaced Greg Gent, who took office in November 2016 but resigned suddenly in November 2017.[3]
