Darwinbus is a public bus service which operates in Darwin and Palmerston in the Northern Territory.[1]

Darwinbus is owned by the Northern Territory Government with services operated under contract by both Buslink and Territory Transit (formerly Darwin Bus Service).[1][2][3]

In December 2013 it was announced that Darwin Bus Service would be privatised.[4][5] In July 2014, Transit Systems was announced as the successful tenderer.[6][7][8] In October 2014, Transit Systems took over the former Darwin Bus Service bus operation and is operating as Territory Transit.[9][10]

Fleet

As at May 2014 the Buslink fleet consisted of 145 buses,[11] and the former Darwin Bus Service fleet consisted of 36 buses.[12]
