Armen is a village and a former municipality in the Vlorë County, southwestern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Selenicë.[1] The population at the 2011 census was 2,965.[2] The municipal unit consists of the villages Armen, Karbunarë, Rromës, Treblovë, Lubonjë, Picar and Mesarak.[3] The placename refers to the historical presence of Aromanians, as does nearby Vllahine as well as Llakatund near Vlore.[citation needed]
