Saberin Takavar Battalions (Persian: گردان تکاور صابرين; meaning Steadfasts Commando Battalions) are elite[2] Takavar units in the Ground Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.[3][4]
Description
The Department of Defense's 2010 Military Power of Iran report:[5]
“Each Provincial Corps in the IRGCGRF possesses a unit, called Saberin, which has limited special operations capabilities. These units rotate to the northwest to perform counter-insurgency against Kurdish PJAK and to the southeast to operate against Jundallah.”
