November 1 Independence Day Celebrated on the following Monday if 1 Nov is a Saturday or Sunday[1]. Frequently associated with a parade, distribution of awards and a national food fair.
December 9 National Heroes Day Sometimes called VC Bird Day. Marked by speeches and family gatherings.
December 25 Christmas Day If 25 Dec falls on a Saturday or Sunday, then 27 December (which is then a Monday or a Tuesday) is a public holiday[1].
