Andriy Mandziy (born 19 February 1988 in Kremenets) is a Ukrainian luger. He competed at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics.[1]

Career

Mandziy's first World Cup season was in 2008–09. He finished in his first World Cup race 46th in Igls, Austria. Before 2014 Winter Olympics he participated at three World Championships always finishing in range from 27 and 31. In the men's singles event at Olympics he was 31st.

As of January 2018, Madziy's best Luge World Cup finish was 20th in 2016–17 in Sigulda, Latvia.

On December 27, 2017, Andriy qualified for 2018 Winter Olympics.[2] At the Olympics he was 40th in singles' race due to having losing control over his luge during one of the races.

Personal life

Andriy Mandziy graduated from Lviv State University of Physical Culture. His job is sports instructor. His hobbies are music and sports.
