Volkshaus
The Volkshaus is a 1,200-seat concert hall located in Zürich, Switzerland. The building construction began in June 1909 and is publicly opened in 1910.[1]
On February 26th 1964, Thelonious Monk with trio (Charlie Rouse, Butch Warren, Ben Riley) had live performance.[2]
In November 1973, King Crimson performed a set at the Volkshaus which included the instrumental recording for song "The Mincer." John Wetton would later overdub vocals for the song on the album Starless and Bible Black.
DEVO performed their "Freedom Of Choice" Show at the venue on June 16th 1980.[3]
New Order performed at the venue during a European tour on April 2, 1984. The concert was entirely broadcast on DMS3-FM radio.
Kraftwerk performed at the venue during a European tour on October 3, 1976 and during their The Mix Tour on November 26, 1991. Their last concert was partially broadcast on radio and fairly well bootlegged afterwards.
Pet Shop Boys performed at the venue during their Release Tour on June 15 2002 and on May 15th 2007 during their Fundamental Tour.
Tokio Hotel performed at the venue during their "Club Experience" Feel It All World Tour on March 15 2015.
Little Mix performed at the venue during The Get Weird Tour on June 2016.
