The Mayor of Kaikōura (formerly Kaikoura) officiates over the Kaikoura District of New Zealand's South Island. The district is administered by a district council.[1]

Winston Gray has been the mayor of Kaikōura since 2010. He comes from a business and farming background, and has lived in Kaikōura his whole life.[1] He was mayor during the 2016 Kaikōura earthquake and the subsequent recovery process.[2][3]
