Hlinsko (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦlɪnsko]) is a town in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. Hlinsko stands on the banks of the Chrudimka river, at the foot of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. It has about 9,600 inhabitants and it is the natural centre of its region called Hlinecko.
History
Hlinsko's history can be traced back to the 11th century, the first written mention comes from 1349.

Economy
There is a significant dairy company Mlékárna Hlinsko in the town. The company was founded in 1939 and the production started in 1943.
