Conwy County Borough Council (Template:Lang-cy) is the governing body for Conwy County Borough, one of the unitary authority areas of Wales.
Political makeup
Elections take place every four to five years. The last election was 4 May 2017,[2] and until 3 June 2019, was governed by a Plaid Annibynnol-led Coalition with Conservatives and Independents, relying on Liberal Democrat support. Cllr Samuel Rowlands was elected the new Leader of Conwy on 3 June 2019 after the previous Leader was removed for sacking Cllr Rowlands earlier that month. Rowlands announced a new Coalition led by the Conservatives including Conwy First Independent Group and the Independents on 6 June 2019. [citation needed]
