List of current NCAA Division I FCS football coaches
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Championship Subdivision (I FCS) includes 124 teams. Each team has one head coach.[1] Division I FCS is composed of thirteen conferences: Big Sky Conference, Big South Conference, Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), Ivy League, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC), Northeast Conference (NEC), Ohio Valley Conference (OVC), Patriot League, Pioneer Football League, Southern Conference (Southern, or SoCon), Southland Conference, and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
In the 2019 season, all schools except for North Dakota will be members of one of these conferences. North Dakota left the Big Sky Conference for the non-football Summit League in 2018, and will join the MVFC in 2020. During this transition, North Dakota is classified as an FCS independent but continues to play a full Big Sky football schedule, with games counting in the Big Sky standings for their opponents.
As of the start of the 2019 season, the longest-tenured coaches in Division I FCS are Kevin Callahan of Monmouth and Jim Parady of Marist, who have been head coaches at their respective schools since 1992. In all, 24 FCS programs had new head coaches in 2018.
Conference affiliations are current for the upcoming 2020 season.
